If you go by the "officially" listed heights from various source books, it's all messed up. GGGG is listed as being shorter, even though it makes no sense while looking at the design. This isn't exactly uncommon, either. Heights seem to be made up at random when it comes to specs in Super Robot Wars games. yes, I noticed that the heights listed for those games are always messed up, but the heights listed in the cartoons are also messed up many times too, they never make any sense in comparison to the surroundings.

This is why I ignore exact scale and go by the "does this look good? yes? awesome." system of approximation.

I agree that's why I ignore official heights and go what looks good especially in the SOC line. But in this case all three are from the same show with consistent showings that Big Volfogg is much smaller than either GGG or Choryujin. It's not a deal breaker but it is kinda odd to me, personally I would have made Choryujin a tad larger and packaged it with a smaller Big Volfogg like the old Robot Museum version if I remember correctly.

Got home late last night and saw the amiami box and Charles singing popped into my head. So far today, I've only got a chance to play with the Zero figure. Will open the Gaogaigar tomorrow.

oh don't worry buddy ... mazinkaiser is lighter than altisen .. that is good ... I am always worried now adays about chogokins being light in weight or have no die cast in them ... thanks gold I think I am getting this!! Thanks for the info about the Mazinkaiser SKL's weight, I didn't know it was lighter than the Alt. Great pictorial review by Gold! My video reviews for SRC GaoGaiGar and the key to victory set 1. Great review OptimusPrime (sorry, I only had time to watch the video now). Love the Goldion Hammer shout out. That's probably the only robot anime "pilot shouting" I like best. I often shout Mazinger-Z stuff at work, but I get away with it because my kitchen staff are Maz fans too. ;D This GGG src is starting to win me over. Great review Opti, keep shouting! ---------------- off topic: now that the SRC threads are split into individual SRC robots HOW WILL WE KNOW which New SRCs and Weapons packs are Released at what time? Many of us are not familiar with ALL and every robot/mecha in existence, and many of us aren't totally following this toy line unless it's a robot character we really like or have anticipated the arrival of. Without an SRC "mother thread" we won't know what's New. Unlock the mother thread... announce a new SRC character... and theeeen dedicate a separate thread for it. zozo-mag I agree with magengar. The SRC stuff seems like its all over the place now. It deserves its own thread or at least some kind of better organization. Thanks for the inputs guys The old problem with the mother thread was that folks looking for older info on a particular release had trouble browsing through 200 pages of posts on various figures. The new threads are series specific (which seems to fit the trend with the SRC lineups) and not limited to per individual figure only so hopefully that would ease searching a bit. But if anyone has any other suggestions please let us know. I'm thinking of combining all Sentai SRC releases into a single thread too. Any thoughts? Gold

Yes, if possible, give the Sentai SRC figures its own separate thread.

Wow, GaoGaiGar almost as tall as Shin Getter, thats good news. But that means ChoRyuJin & Big Volfogg will be very small.

Wow, GaoGaiGar almost as tall as Shin Getter, thats good news. But that means ChoRyuJin & Big Volfogg will be very small. Not exactly, as shin getter is really far back in that picture. The D-Arts Zero figure is roughly half an inch taller than the koto model kit Megaman. If I were to put the SRC GGG next to that aoshima Shin Getter, he would only be around chest high. On a side note, my SRC GGG has pretty bad QC. The lion head, on the top of the head there is an uneven splashes of gold paint. Also on the side of the lion head where the vents are, there are some paint chips. Also the lower jaw on the lion head popped of as soon as I open up the container. It is a simple peg and plug part, but it looks like it was knock loose or there wasn't enough glue applied during assembly. Had to super glue it back in. I made sure to not get glue into the small swing joint so the mouth still opens and closes. The legs/hips area were also a lot looser than the other SRC figures that I got. Guess I hit the jackpot this time, but still, it is a good looking figure.

The weapons set 2 for Mazinger Z wasn't even listed on the SRC guidebook. But in all fairness, that guidebook also listed a bunch of other SRC without any release date, which usually means, to be determine. Thanks for the link though. Pre ordered me a set.
