hi guys im a newbie in this forum, nice to have FINALLY been approved to post n comment in here, felt just like home ;D so here is 1 of my mods n repaint process of my revoltech shin getter to be viewed n comment by u guys.. 1sty im gonna use this :  and turn it into this (limited edition black shin getter with ridiculous price tag)  with some twist  im gonna be using this two ingredients as the main item to mod this getter.  so to start the mods im gonna; 1) "disassemble" the figure n try to remove some paint that can be remove..  2) after some taping/carving/sandpapering, its time for some primering. instead of using a regular primer, i've decided to use undercoat silver. pvc really works well with paint.  3)after the undercoat dried, about 8 hours to be sure it dried, i started coating it with the first layer of black.    4) after the black dried, n it must be glossy black, i layered it with liquid silver, yes "liquid silver" to make the metal effect.   5) to be continue... ;D |

so where was i... oh yeah 5)its time to paint gold for some part that needed it.  i also paint the lining n his blade gold, unlike the original ones are red.  6) so the twist is here, instead of painting the chest n leg red, i decided to use a glow in the dark sticker, i've tried using glow in the dark powder at first but the glow is not shiny enuf..  7) to be continued..... again |

After very busy few weeks, its time to finish up this project.. so.. 8)the final phase is to clear coat it with hi gloss mirror finish clear n leaving it over night  9) n the finished product looks like this..   10) finally. the glow in the dark effect     thanks for viewing !!! ;D ;D ;D |

JEEZUS, That is friggin WICKED!  It looks even Better NOW than it was in its former state. And I love, LOVE, that Liquid Silver! I also couldn't resist noticing your Mechacolle Mazinger-Z model in the background there... makes me wanna try some of that Liquid Silver as a repaint for my Mechacolle Maz (and my MC Raideen model kit, as well... if it looks better and brighter than the usual metallic silver paint I've always used in the past, I'll repaint ALL of my custom figures (and my Revoltech Mazinkaiser) with the Liquid Silver! And I love, LOVE, that Liquid Silver! zozo-mag Thanks for viewing my noob repaint mods, im humbled by you presence in my thread bro magengar  From my knowledge about the silver that im using, it is actually not a paint, but a dust of silver/metal dip in thinner, it supposed to make a real chrome effect, so it would be totally different than a silver paint.. Its a bit darker, but it has a real metal feel n shine.. ;D |
