Call up your special order middle men - HLJ is not going to be carrying the VF-4G so whatever price it'll be from Yamato, you'll be taking the full brunt of it and more.

it's really nice, but hips joins and shape are very simple and make it look more like an action figure than an enginered mecha.

Oh...hi there. Yamato should have their painted prototype ready by WonFes.

Regarding this last pics, it looks like a toy with model kit mold quality. Jet mode is pure design !

With shipping to the US, it might come out to maybe $350!!! As nice as it looks, I'm not sure I'll be buying it at this price.

Isn't this supposed to be limited to just 100 pieces?

i hope not that is absurd for figure like this and i will be disapointed big time they would be fools to limit it to 100 and never release anymore. they spent alot to make this figure the money spent compared to the money earned does not add up and in today's economy they probably would not attempt such a release. I am guessing it is for the online shop version maybe it is a special release with special box for the 30th Ann. probably comes with some sort of bonus or maybe this specific color scheme. with Yamato's history being what it is with macross i am expecting about 3 or 4 color variations over the next 2 years for the figure though the first one looks real good right from the start.

Beautiful, but too pricey for me. Maybe they'll release a standard version in a couple of years that costs half as much.

In fact, now that I've thought about it, I'm pretty sure they'll use this sculpt for a couple of versions or variations. Yamato doesn't usually toss away a popular sculpt until it's seen a fair amount of use. So hopefully...

Oh sorry. Someone in another forum just used "100" as an example since this is supposedly a web exclusive. Yeah, that wouldn't make much sense after all the production costs Yamato has already put into this. I'm still on the fence about preordering this since the retail price looks like its going to be about $350. Now just imagine what prices are going to be on the secondary market.

Finally some nice color shots for the battroid mode. Though something about the design just could get me to pull the trigger. Fighter mode is beautiful, and it is the last valk we've seen Hikaru has flown before he MIA. But the proportion of the battroid mode is just quite odd, as close to the design as it is. The torso looks like a big stack of stuff that is a little too big for everything else. I also wish the big shoulders were raised a bit more to mimmick the look of the design sketch. Battroid proportion don't feel as close to what Yamato had done with most of their other valks. Most of that could have come from the limitation of the design itself though.
Hope I won't regret passing on this one.
