HA! Ooops sorry bro! Got a little carried away. Anyway, here is the last post I'm making, or reading, about Nagai robot heights: Jeeg is now as big as Grendizer! That's it on my side. No more posts about heights from me. Back to the upcoming SRC releases... Does anyone see a Getter Poseidon in that green guy's sculpt??? }D huh so actually this Jeeg and Grendizer crossover is an official manga? ok now i have to see this, i always thought it was a fan made. Also this actually confirms that Great Mazinger is just as tall as Grendizer. Totally agree with you about the SRC kantam robot, he looks and could actually be useful for as a Getter Poseidon body custom. If this gets lower in price, this could be use for it for those with high custom skills. i don't really hate Kantam robot, but his not in my field of preference, but he looks pretty good and simple. But im really disappointed that people didn't find more interesting the other previews SRC show before this (Big O, Giant Robo, Tetsuji FX). I guess they where kinda tired of the same thing maybe and want to see something new perpahs?.

That could also work for the Dr Hell and Baron Ashler gashapons! zozo-mag i can't imagen this for SRC, however if someone where to made the mikene emprire now THIS is perfect for them. They go hand in hand actually droutmaster... the juxtaposition of ancient civilizations and modern technology like temple ruins and Super Robots is a constant staple in Super Robot anime...Godmars,Raideen,etc etc..and Im talking for the heroes, not just villains.Even the many bases of Super Robots are psuedo temples as such.. Pillars, statues, temples and nods to Egyptian,Greek and Roman architecture are shown in SR anime frequently....as well as in modern mythos.."Ancient Aliens"and early civilizations is a common theme today,UFOs over the pyramids posters come to mind as imagery related to this theme. .also as Magengar said Dr.Hell's island is full of stuff such as this. I have pillars in my collection already, they work great with SRs.Stands and dioramas like these work great with robots, wait and see..Im going to use a glossy poster of the galaxy or stars as the backdrop to this diorama.

For the good guys i prefer them more to be in some hangar facility base. but i guess it could work in either way if done right.

Good pictures there drout! But they are all in viewers perspective, except the click-manga one which is obviously not OVA or Anime. The pictures like the one with Grendizer and Great Mazinger is being looked at from the bottom up, meaning that Great Mazinger was closer to the viewer than Grendizer, however they still looked the same size - which makes Grendizer quite bigger. The other with Grendizer and Shin Getter, Shin Getter looks bigger than Grendizer, but not by much. Which would be fine since 10 meters or so is not that much difference (a regular car is about 5 meters long). The rest are screwup by animation artists that just don't care much, like the one with Mazinkaiser carrying Venus and Great Mazinger. That was just laziness. The still image that you posted is from the Mazinkaiser DVD, and it is exactly what I've been saying: The newer Super Robot is about "one head" taller than its predecessor. As far as the list of figures straight from manga, I had totally forgotten about the Revoltech and KT. However... - West Kenji Version Mazinger Z (2 versions where made and both are base on the manga which one is more manga color than the other). The West Kenji are not action figures. They are pre-painted vinyl models. These are basically the same as the Toynami 9 inch tall vinyl Voltrons that were released some years ago. Definitely not action figures. - revoltech Getter Robo ark( base on the manga). Yeap, forgot about this guy. - revoltech Getter Robo Go (base on the manga). Yeap, forgot about this guy _ S.H.E. Getter Robo Go (manga). A resin action figure. - KT Shin Getter 1(base on manga) Yeap, forgot about this guy. - revoltech Grendizer (trying to be base on manga/novel). Nope, this is just a Revoltech design, not straight from manga, anime, or OVA. - SRC Grendizer (base on the manga/novels with the help of T.O.P.). Nope, this is an SRC design. Not straight to manga, anime, or OVA. - HLPro MT-01 Grendizer (hLPro trying to make a manga version in the body of the anime version). Yes and No. For some strange reason HLPro keeps calling their "anime" versions MANGA versions, when it is clearly the opposite. Oh, and the head sculpt you see in the original MT-01 appears in the anime many times, as well as in the manga. - HLPro Z-Mazinger (base on the manga). Not out yet, so it really doesn't count until it becomes a reality. _ Evolution Toy Z-Mazinger (manga). Not an action figure. This is a Garage Kit... a model. - the design of Getter 1 and Getter Dragon use on Armageddon are base from the mangas which in turn have become figures. They are still from the OVA, as specified in their advertising. - SoC Mazinger Angels are base on there manga. The manga was made AFTER the figures. So much that they use the actual figures as the characters - this one does not count. - SoC classic Tetsujin 28(base of his manga). It is based on its 1960's anime. - the design of the Getter 1 and Black Getter done by Riobot are inspired base on the resent Getter manga. Not really straight from the manga. These are Riobot's own design. - Dino Getters are been base of a soon to be release manga version. Don't know about these much, but what is coming out first - the figures or the manga? If the manga is coming out to sell the figures, then it is just like the SOC Mazinger Angels and does not count. So, all in all, seems like only the Revoltech Getters and S.H.E. Getter Go mentioned above are truly straight from manga. Even so, they are plastic figures, not in the high end category as the SOC, Aoshima, CM's that I was referring to. Maybe that is why I had no recollection of their existence... And back on topic, as far as that green SRC coming out, it seems quite bigger than the SRC Mazinger. But I am not getting either until it is selling for very, very cheaps on Amazon! }D Not exactly, the pictures i posted are not in angle and more in a front view. to give it more a straight forward Boss Borot has been show to be side by side with both Great Mazinger and Grendizer so yea Grendizer is the same size as Great mazinger, now granted that the one with Mazinger Z and Grendizer is from the e-manga and not an ova, its still an official material source since is canon and sequel to the events which also indicates correctly that Mazinger Z would be the same height to Grendizer which it actually matches how Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger are portrayed as the same size in the GM saga. Now if we go as you said that a new Super robot is bigger than the previews one by a head then it would mean that Mazinkaiser > Shin Getter > Grendizer > Getter Robo G> Getter Robo > Great Mazinger > Mazinger Z. as for the figure, what you mean is only diecast action figures and not any other kind well in that case only the HLPro MT-01 Grendizer been stated as manga version, SRC Grendizer and the SRC Shin Mazinger (both of them are base on the design from the mangas the only difference is that trying to make them more properly proportionate.) everyone else i can't consider them as action figure for reason there more of a collectible market. SoC Mazinger Angel where base from the design of the manga that GoNagia was working, this was confirm by him and Bandai as well. SoC Classic Tetsujin 28 didn't change design at all, in fact there just the same figure the only difference is the color finish to match to each version (which one is color to his manga portray). HLPro already confirm that Z-Mazinger is the next figure to be coming soon, ok granted is not out yet but still is a figure been base on a manga and is been work on, i doubt they will decided to cancel after so much heavy promotion they have done to him, that would be bad for them to do such a thing after people are looking forward to it. full pass, if only the others have gain more attention than this i would be getting them. how many where sacrifice for this? like 8? droutmaster and tmz youre both correct because the cartoons are always made in diferent scales from one minute to the next. that's why everyone can see the robots in the sizes they want. the mazinger bible and super robot encyclopedia give us the correct sizes for the robots because the shows didn't, and the information came from go nagai and other creators themself. mazinger 18m, great mazinger 25m, mazinkaiser 28m, grendizer 30m. nobody can decide what the robots size is when their maker go nagai already decided what they were. and the bandai soul of chogokin and super robot chogokin figures are not made in scale with each other. they can make the figures in any size they want like make shin getter smaller than its real size which is 55m, and even small danguard ace which is 200m. mazinkaiser is 23m or 28m but not bigger than that.

Anyone recommend a shipping method if I were to pre-order this weapon set? Never bought anything from AmiAmi before or overseas for that matter...
will shipping be ridiculous for something like this?

SAL is the least expensive and slowest, followed by Registered SAL, and the EMS (express mail) which is the most expensive but faster.

I can assure you that even SAL shippong will be as much as the Weapons Set. Might as well add another item to your order. }D Buy the same item Twice. ------------------------------------------------------------- I also noticed Amiami will also have the first edition SRC Maz up for pre-order, too. I'm tempted to grab the SRC Great Maz, only because I need its Brain Condor. But I really don't wanna go through all that trouble just for a small part. The one on mine was barely hanging by a bur when I got it and it recently broke off with an engine part stuck inside the peg hole in his head... ...I can't even cast a copy of the Condor without completely dunking it inside the silicone rubber just to cut the mold open without scratching the Condor. So my next option is to cast a bigger head for the SRC Great Maz, with its own Condor. I may have to shop eBay for the Brain Condor/Grt Maz kit which has the 4-inch Grt Maz model included, and use the head and Condor from this model kit as a reference... zozo-mag

You can use the head (a resin cast) of the Hero Collection Great Mazinger. It goes perfect with the SRC Great Mazinger. }D
