Photo taken from my Blackberry, so apologies in advance but here is an updated photo of my Jumbo Collection. What can't be seen clearly in this photo are some Shogun Vehicles, a few Godaikins, autobots, transformers and my most recent purchase of the 3" Shogun Warriors including Tetsujin 17, Leopaldon, Voltes V and 5 others. The seller is a member of RJ and was a pleasure to do business with. For better photos of the 3" Shoguns, check out the completed listings on E-Bay.
Anyway, just wanted to share a more recent pic. Just ordered a Popy Grendizer repro box from Kitsir and the Uni-Five Gaiking box is not shown. Anyone from the Boston area know when any conventions or get togethers might be?
Like a drug addict who promises to quit after their last high, I keep telling myself that I won't buy anything else. Much like most of us here can probably attest to, I'm kidding myself if I think I can quit Jumbos cold turkey!
As I write this post, I'm thinking of how I can get a Jumbo Poseidon, Combattler and a Danguard Ace. Thankfully, Yahoo Japan isn't user friendly!

Those glass cases are sweet !!! Did you make them or special ordered?
Looks very nice. I need to build myself some shelving, or maybe a large curio cabinet.

Very nice looking collection. Take some more up close of the shelves! What that's on the bottom of the 3" display? Those magazine print ads for the Shogun? Very nice idea...
That those Ikea cases you were telling me about ? Doutef or something right. I looked them up they are very reasonable...and the top lighting is nice!

Thanks guys! Yes, those are the detolf cases from Ikea. They are really nice, considering they are only $65. The lights are cheap l.e.d. plastic puck lights that I bought off E-Bay. They are battery operated, have adhesive backing and tap on/off. I don't like the look of wires hanging behind the cases so I thought this would be the best, most cost effective, way of dealing with the problem. They don't cast the strongest light but do the trick. When the batteries die, I will just replace the lights themselves, since the backing will probably loose its adhesive quality. In any event, I don't use the lights much and when I do, they are on for no more than five minutes (the room has recessed lighting anyway). Also, they do not give off any heat, so there's no concern there.
Those are magazine reprints of the Shogun Warriors. The gentleman whom I bought a majority of my Jumbo's from, gave them to me. I don't have anything to fill the shelf with, so I figured that would make the space seem complete for the time being.

Thanks for the compliment! I agree, the shelf situation can be troublesome, especially if you want to display a lot of smaller collectibles. Luckily, in my case (no pun intended), my focus is primarily on Jumbo's followed by Shogun vehicles, 3" & 5" figures.
Thanks for the info on the local area gatherings. I'm going to try to make at least one of them.

Thanks Eyeone, you too my friend have an unbelievable collection! I always enjoy looking at your posts and seeing pictures of your ever expanding collection. I love the little Shoguns & co., don't get me wrong, but there is just something about Jumbos that is unrivaled when it comes to collecting vintage toys. I respect all genres of collecting, but Jumbo's take the cake!

Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked the setup and glad some of you picked them up. You will definitely need a second person to help with the assembly, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a cinch. Ikea makes some nice lighting options as well. Google Ikea lighting + Detolf and you will find some nice options. I personally chose to buy inexpensive puck lights but they are removable if I ever change my mind. Thanks again

Here is an updated picture of my collection. I do have a few more glass shelves that I need to put together before I can take pics of them in their rightful spot. Also, missing from this picture is a GodMars jumbo that I picked up and hope to get soon as well as a LJN Voltron and Disco D-17 that are undergoing facelifts thanks to fellow board members/friends.
Sorry for the low quality photo, too much money spent on jumbos and not a camera.
Enjoy!

Congrats, I see some great additions there. Is that the Voltes that was on Yahoo HK? It's the last one I saw passing, that why I ask. Your collection is really growing fast, impressive!!!!
