From TFW2005:
It seems that the MP-1 will be reissued without the trailer as once planned, just on a shorter run basis. This is from Joel's BigBadToyStore newsletter: "MP-01 MASTERPIECE PRIME: We've checked and rechecked the info on this release, and it seems while the Japanese market version has been canceled, Takara will reissue it through another channel in Hong Kong. Our cost is slightly higher there so we've reopened the preorder at $109.99."

I don't know why there is no news...... project abandoned? The Tomy acquisition seems to have had a major effect on Takara's TF output. No new series yet, no new reissues announced. It's possible they're streamlining the Transformers product line alltogether, or else just taking their time readjusting the beurocracy before they proceed.

I need news about g1 original line... i'm losing my tf passion because of this new series, neo-g1 etc... i like Cybertron but only the supreme, and some as OP or Meg... Becasue of this lack of news i'm thinking to Yamato macross 1/48 and various soc... no emotions for neo things....

Interesting. I am now gaining more faith in TFs again because of Neo-G1. Before that, I had almost all the TFs I wanted and started to look elsewhere because it was frankly getting boring. If the upcoming lines after Neo-G1 are not good, or if Neo-G1 starts going downhill, that will be the end of TFs for me.

Takara is thinking to Titanium, Cybertron recolor etc.... i hate this bad work... i think the fusion with Tomy is not good... They will pay this choice in the future............

Well, it's been an old Hasbro trick to continue to sell as many recolors as they can. Takara never seemed to have as bad a problem as the American side of business. Unfortunately, TakaTomy (the Japanese side) seems to have dried up for the time being. Hence no new reissues or even any new recolors for that matter. No doubt they will ride the business wave that Hasbro generates with the Titanium stuff and recolors.

hello lord zarak.
i have the new 6in war within optimus prime titanium and i can say that the quality is very poor. the paint is very sloopy and some silver parts are not painted at all.
but i like the vehicle mode design.
im also looking forward to the perfect prime with the trailer.
i hope they will include a rooler inside the trailer.

but the upcoming titanium TFs in the SDCC pictures looks great. $16 figures with diecast, IMO they are good deal already.

But the sloppy QC, loose limbs, and high chip-factor may make it lose points. Plus larger toys are always more fun.
