I can't wait to see what you have going on for jumbo sculpts. I haven't collected any kaiju, but there are a few here that do.

thanks guys. i think i will. as i had mentioned, im wrapping on a few sculpts soon and have 2 more robots on the table to make. then some kaiju. i think hedora will be the first. next question - should all the sculpts i build have shooting mechanisms, including kaiju? im doing a Black Ox now and I think he will need shooting fists, even though the traditional black ox doesnt really shoot projectiles.

"my question is if you folks think that collecting jumbo kaiju would have the same appeal as jumbo machinders?"
Definitely! I already own the Godzilla, Rodan, and Earthtron. I remember seeing a custom Ghidorah many years ago. I'd love to see some others. There are some giant-sized vinyl kaiju too, of course.

I agree with KingBoyD... hey, if our shelves have nothing but hero robots and characters, they'd look more appealing if the heros had at least a couple of enemy monsters to go with them for historical reference to their respective tv shows. It would be a lot easier to explain to my guests that Mazinger fought so-n-so enemy robot in such-n-such series, and Voltron so-n-so and so on, ya know. I often get asked "well, where are the monsters?" "Did these robots fight any monsters?" stuff like that. zozo-mag

"which should I model first, and next?".......... just make each one as you go along. That way you won't be pressured to make any particular one right away. Fans will appreciate them all as each one gets produced. Sometimes the mystery of "which one is next?" is more enjoyable to watch than the expectation of any certain pre-Announced specimens to be made by such-n-such deadline date.
Depending on how your setup is arranged, you might realize some monsters may or may not share similar robot/monster armor sculpts and parts sculpts... it would be cost-effective to build those similar specimens from the same design. This will free you up to work on other specimens of different designs.

ive been making some original sculpts of jumbo bad guys that were never released. i should be wrapping up on my first 2 soon, and there is a 3rd in the works.
when i used to live in japan i saw a few jumbo sized kaiju but not many. in thailand i saw more jumbo (robot and kaiju) garage kits than i did in japan.
when i get the time, i think i want to sculpt some jumbo kaiju.
my question is if you folks think that collecting jumbo kaiju would have the same appeal as jumbo machinders?
id love to start with hedora and gigan. maybe the weirdo eyeball thing with the shuriken stuck in it in the opening montage of spectreman.

Those two (Hedora, and Gigan) would go great with the Godzilla jumbo. As to which One of those two kaiju would fans like to see first, I think Gigan would win the curiosity test just to see how that kaiju would look as a jumbo. It could inspire someone to spiel out a Jet-Jaguar jumbo and a Megalon jumbo to complete that movie character group. ;D
I'd say your project will take off as soon as fans here see the first couple specimen samples.
(I thought I'd help raise that speculation among kaiju fans here at RJ.) ;D

That eyeball monster?
Hmmmmmm..... now That would be interesting. Reminds me of the Nucleon Globe, and the Killer Eye, both from the 1967 Johnny Sokko series......... ...a good template for kaijus of that particular spherical shape would be a large kid's plastic bowling ball from those toy Bowling Ball/Pin Sets. The giant plastic Baseball bats can be made into limbs. Them large toys are usually sold at Family Dollar stores.
