I just got my Jumbo Voltron. He is HUGE! I an so used to dealing with the matchbox, toynami, go-lion size that I was not expecting him to be that big. It's AWESOME!!!!!! Now I just have to get some repro stickers (there sure are a lot of them), and maybe a sword. He will fit in very well in my man cave. ;D

Nice pick up....He will look insane after you clean him up with some repro stickers/parts. How about a photo of your entire collection? It's always nice to see what other members have.

Congrats buddy!
Yeah it's not till you get him in hands that you appreciate the size and the absolutely beautiful and quite detailed sculpt. It's really only missing the usual heft found in the jumbos. But if you got an old junker...steal the sand bottles out of their feet and put it in your Beast King Gi Lion!

I love the sculpt. It is beautiful. The detail on the wings is amazing.
Thanks rodman.
I will post an updated picture soon. I want to get some parts for my 2nd edition Mazinger first.
Will Great idea. I may have to steal them out of my parts Raydeen. It came with the base/remote control, but I like him better without it.
Derik you are so right. Will makes amazing decals. I am waiting on a set for a simplified chest Raydeen. Once I scratch together a little cash I will try ordering a set of Voltron stickers from him.

congrats!!! this jumbo turned me into a voltron fan. i triple the recommendation of grabbin' a set of willohio's stickers, they are top notch. as for the weight issue, what i did is stick a bunch of change in each foot. made him more sturdy and beefy like other jumbos, AND doubles as a piggy bank for my next jumbo purchase

ps as for swords, i just use a modified lionbot one. not exactly the same length, but as they say, size doesn't matter

Just use one of those child sized Blazing Swords you can get on Ebay at times. It should fit haha.

Maybe if you knew someone that has done quite a few reproduction parts for jumbos as maybe that someone may already done a jumbo Voltron blazing sword mold and that someone may been too lazy to mention or show that they could have it available as that someone has been too busy on some custom and reproduction parts for his combattler and dangard recently. I think I know who may be able to help out on this if someone wants to get one. I could maybe see about talking to this person and see if that person could do a price of like maybe $30 or possibly less on any sword that didn't come out really good for extra little air bubbles or in the hilt area. ps as for swords, i just use a modified lionbot one. not exactly the same length, but as they say, size doesn't matter

Bourno, if you get a chance to speak to that person, have him post some more photos of the Combattra/Danguard Project. I would love to see how that project is progressing:)

@ truecrud... Congrats, and welcome to the club for that particular specimen (not many RJers have that jumbo Voltie) I have to say the LJN Voltron is one of the best jumbos ever made since the classic jumbos of the '70s. The stickers are worn and torn on my Voltron jumbo, but I'll strip it and sculpt/cast/paint all the detail back on it as a custom mod job. Mine doesn't have any weights in his legs, so, I'll slit the back sides of the legs so I can drop laundry money inside it. If anyone has pics of the sword and shield (either from the Toynami or the Trendmaster Voltron figure) I'd like to use it as a visual reference when the time comes to mold the sword and shield. TIA. zozo-mag I just got my Jumbo Voltron. He is HUGE! I an so used to dealing with the matchbox, toynami, go-lion size that I was not expecting him to be that big. It's AWESOME!!!!!! Holy Crap Wes. That Bowfist is amazing. That's why I love this place. People make the most amazing things to bring Jumbos back from the dead.

Awesome, thanks for the pics, both swords look great but I must make one of them fit to scale for my Voltron jumbo's hand. The larger one looks perfect.
I don't have any swords, but I'll try carving the detail into a bed of clay and cast a resin "half" sword into the clay, then sand the resin surface smooth and use the casting as a template to make a real Voltron sword.
