nice review sir GOLD, may i ask how many energon cubes u can get all ? did u bought yours in Greenhills? Thanks You can get up to 3 cubes. Or more if you want to purchase spare ones from Amazon. Yep, I got mine from Greattoys Whoops, I forgot to mention the coin, I don't have mine yet as you can have only 1, either the coin or the cube. I decided on getting the cube as it's an Amazon.JP exclusive while the coins are pretty much all over the place. You can buy the coin or the cubes seperately through Ebay sellers. The cubes are more expensive. Thanks Greengetterguy. Regarding Megs as a new MP, I don't know, I think it raised all sorts of hell the fiirst time Takara rolled him out due to gun laws (heck in Australia, he was outright banned in some places) and even some areas required gun memebership to own. I wonder if TakaraTomy will go through that kinda mess twice. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_Masterpiece#MP-05:_MegatronGold

Really? Bummer. Wait, that's all 3 cubes and a coin for 8000 PHP? The unit comes with one cube inside, the extra 2 cubes and coins are pacakged seperately. Sorry I haven't been around Greenhills for the past 2 weeks (am out of town). Hmm according to the ongoing Hasbro panel at the NY Toyfair, the US Soundwave will have all 5 tapes in one shot?? toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=336&itemid=19935Gold

To me, Soundwave is the quintessential 80's toy. Nothing captured the times more than a boom box with friggin' cassette tapes. It's just iconic in a way that a car or a jet can never be.
I can barely remember playing with my original, but I remember all the parts and transformation shapes. All I have left of him are his two guns, and a decent Ravage that survived.
I must have this toy. haha.

I still have my original Soundwave and for the time it was a amazing toy, but compared to the MP there is no comparison. It has charm but other then that its not even close, I still have fond memories attached to it but the MP is the definitive rendition of Soundwave for me.

Do you think they will do a v2 with diecast leg joints? or is it pretty sturdy?

I doubt we will see a V2 unless every single one starts breaking. Honestly though if you use half a brain and not manhandle the joints it will be fine. I've seen smaller more fragile joints on SOC's which have stood the test of time. It's really more a sense it might break then any actual fact, I haven't heard of one leg breaking off.

Do you think they will do a v2 with diecast leg joints? or is it pretty sturdy? I really doubt it. Soundwave is really solid and honestly those hips don't seem really that fragile at all, despite the manhandling I've been giving him since I got him. There just isn't enough that could use improvement on him to justify a version 2, in my mind.

Well mine is ordered! Should get him this weekend I'll probably hunt the US version for the extra tapes.

I just bought one off Ebay the other day for 249USD with free shipping to anywhere in Canada and the US. I've been watching this seller for a few weeks and apparently he has a boat load of Soundwaves. I bought it when he was selling a mass of 70+ units on one listing.

Customized it when I was 10 (using markers... Stupid move, but I was only 10
