This is a Unique Mazinger that won't happen again for a Long Time maybe till Mazinger's 50th Anniversary? True, and we will have an automotion Mazinger like the Tetsujin done by VSTONE

I love electronic gimmicks. That remote control Tetsujin reminds me of the Japanese fighting robots. It's a really big deal over there with people spending ten thousand plus dollars to make their own robots. It's a like a sport in Japan with a championship battle and everything. There's a lots of videos on youtube about it, but a lot of them are old and don't show off the newer developments. Here's one that shows some relatively newer robots, but this one isn't at one the tournaments, it's just a bunch of friends in their living room.

i think it would be cool if they put the Jet Screander & Iron Cutters Along with some more goodies like Battle Damaged Armor parts since they are removeable & Battle Damaged Jet Scrander

It is indeed a great action figure...but does anyone feel a lil' bit disappointed that it's not the 70's design and it's just a CC of the Super Robot Chogokin figure with those big red chest armors?

I don't feel disappointed at all, on the contrary I love the way it looks. It has such a sharp dynamic sculpt about it. I wish all of my Maz figures looked as good as this! zozo-mag

Forgive me, all mazinger lovers out there, that my opinion will be not as enthusiastic as everyone else's out there.
The market is already saturated with WAY TOO MANY versions out there, this one just adds to the clutter. I do have gx-45 as part of my "childhood" collection and am very happy with it. The only reason why I'm against this one is because there are so many other characters out there worthy of being immortalized in die-cast metal and high-grade plastic and yet bandai continues to throw at us maz.

Bandai usually starts its new chogokin lines with Mazinger Z, then they do other super robots. So, you will probably get your fav. super robot character (if it's worthy and famous enough to be made as a DX SOC). I bleed Fleedian blood, but I am extremely happy that they are starting the line with Mazinger Z - a most famous and beloved super robot around the globe! Even if they don't make a DX SOC Grendizer figure later...having a 30cm, die cast DX SOC Mazinger Z figure with all these awesome features is such a JOY! "Maziiin, Gooo!"

Malakas, weird that you have the GX-45 as part of your childhood collection, as Shin Mazinger (the GX-45 is based on Shin Mazinger) is only a couple of years old and I can definitely tell you are not a kid... ;D So, my question to you is: if you don't care and don't want the DX SOC Mazinger Z, why are you even posting here? Just asking... }D

true if someone doesnt like the figure in the topic they should not post, at least that is what many of us were told about posting in the armorred core topic anyway! start your own thread about not liking it and leave the people that really like it and want to buy it in peace! back on this release, i finally got replies back from hlj and amiami and they told me that they didnt have a date for when their preorders were going to begin and that they usually put the preorders online as soon as they found out from their distributors. so we will need to keep watching and make sure we post here as soon as the preorders start!!!!

He didn't say he didn't like it... read his post. And... there's nothing wrong with not liking something, but the point is to give constructive criticism, which means to supply real reasoning besides mere adjectives, such as "this sucks", "lame", "POS" etc. If you genuinely don't understand why, please PM me and I'll do my best to explain in greater detail. Also, anyone is free to read the posts in the Armored Core V thread if necessary where this issue is discussed.

Regardless of which version of the tv series, Mazinger Z was a staple of my childhood tv viewing habit (along with Voltes, Daimos, Dangard, Mekanda and Grendizer). The series was aired in GMA channel 7 in the 80's, so yes, it IS a part of my growing up years. As for my posting, well, it is freedom of expression. The message boards are a great medium in airing one's views, so post my view I did. You won't find any demeaning or foul language in my first statement. I simply wanted to air and share my sentiments to everyone here

I take this step Of Bandai to be a Good thing, Most of us are Mazinger Fans and they brought A Chogokin Mazinger to All Ages
SRC Mazinger Z= Affordable Chogokin a Kid Can own "Meant to be posed & Played with"
SOC Mazinger Z= Semi Affordable, Expensive for a Regular Kid, but not so Expensive for Adults
DX Mazinger Z = Judging by the Price & Features it is really Aimed for the Adult Collectors who really Grew with Mazinger.
