AI took about two weeks after posted Estimated arrival date on my Gundam. And they don,t answer emails.... Check out your inbox or your account order update and see what your status is. AI has unbeatable price in us but you pay by having to wait little longer and no communication..... This is the first time this has happened and they have usually responded pretty fast to all my inquiries. Whats odd is that they usually request the remaining balance once the item is in stock and this time they requested payment on June 28th and still havent shipped anything. Even BBTS got the scrander in theyre usually dead last with bluefin stuff.

I'd say file the dispute now. A lot of retailers who don't respond to my emails respond immediately after I file a dispute and the money is deducted from their account. =)

This is why I buy from ebay mostly. If things go wrong u have eBay buyer protection and also sellers care about bad feedback. I've only bought one item from Nippon yassan and it was damaged.
I think ill stick with eBay sellers, some are really good.

I hope you're kidding. eBay is usually a last resort for most of us here. Almost all prices have a markup of some sort compared to most of the online retailers. You also get buyer protection through PayPal, not just eBay bro which is what anubis20 paid by. Did you pay Nippon-Yasan by Paypal? If it arrived damaged, you could have filed a claim.

I see ERIKLAs point... I don't give my exclusive business to anyone. But I heavily depend on the protection programs - ebay, Paypal, or CC (my CC gives last resort coverage for online purchases).
I will do a search for an item and have 3-4 choices (E-Bay, BBTS, etc.). If E-Bay is the lowest & from a reputable store outlet (Chimugmug, Toyer, RobotKingdom), I'll buy through E-Bay. I avoid the "Scalper" / "Mark up" guys. (You can tell who they are) And those seller never pop up past my e-Bay filter, because they are JACKING the prices up too much.
Point being, you have to be a SAVY shopper. And work your protection policies. (A lesson I learn from multiple issues with sellers - Inside/outside of ebay.)

I think ill stick with eBay sellers, some are really good. Most are. It's just that their prices can very rarely compete with online stores' like HLJ, AmiAmi and Nippon Yassan. Ebay is also littered by grossly overpriced items, like a $400 MegaHouse Dr Slump Caramelman-1.

Ebay is also littered by grossly overpriced items, like a $400 MegaHouse Dr Slump Caramelman-1. Most online stores also sell via ebay at the same prices from their online stores... Hence, you can get same pricing and the protection benefits via EBAY.

As someone who has been screwed both buying and selling on eBay, they are my choice of last resort. I rarely find anything on eBay I can't get cheaper elsewhere or at the same price from a reliable seller.

With so many ways to access and purchase an item, it would be good to use all these buying methods ( ie: well-known retailers who sell via eBay or thru their own standalone websites) to formulate a buying plan that will work to Your advantage, while ensuring that you'll get your item cost-effective and hassle-free. zozo-mag

I'm considering getting this guy. I don't have a good Mazinger, but I may just go with gx-45 to scale with my grendizer and gaiking and put the savings towards the ex gokin getters.

Well, it seems that almost everyone here that was going to get the DX Mazinger and Scrander got it already? Shame there are so few pictures of it. I need to finish cleaning and setting up my new collection room so I can start snapping pics again. But as it is right now, it is going to take quite a while...

My top shelf wasn't tall enough for the wings. Sadly the top shelf is the only shelf that I could fit DX Maz in, so no scrander on for me. It did look glorious the one week when i had it assembled on a stand on my desk! No pics regrettably.

I hear you. The DX Mazinger/Scrander/Hangar combination requires massive amounts of shelf realstate!!!

So, is $99.99 with free shipping ($15.00 to Canada) from Amazon still the best price for the Scrander set?
