My 2 new additions to the vehicles inside the DX Hangar..........
No damn DX Hangar should be without HELICOPTERS!
These two are made of diecast. The propeller blades and landing shoes are made of plastic.
Made in China, manufacturer unknown- I found this yellow helicopter, and a smaller
red Fire Department helicopter at a local thrift store inside a junk toy bin for .25 cents each.
The red Fire Dept. helicopter looks more "toy-ish" than realistically convincing...
...those white plastic parts really kill it with that "Hannah Montanna bubblegum" toy look.
The rear propeller is broken and missing blades... I'll make new blades for it, than I'll
paint all the plastic parts to a Metallic Silver color that will contrast the red hull.
===========================================
A closer look at the yellow helicopter. I like this one much better. It looks more realistic,
and it fits the scale size (pilot-to-cabin ratio) of the crane vehicle.
That's why I have the crew guy shown in this pic, to help give you a visual idea of
what I'm trying to do to make the DX Hangar.
I want the DX Hangar to appear more like a professional diorama rather than being
just a large 'bonus display playset box' in which to store the armor parts
for some "big toy".
For having such a $400 price tag, this DX SOC Mazinger set deserves a highly
professional appearance much more better than what you see straight out of the box.
The yellow helicopter's main propeller is double-bladed so that the propeller's
blades can pivot out to look like four blades, just like a military helicopter would.
its rear propeller blade on the yellow helicopter is broken at the center
and the blade barely hanging by its crack;
if I handle this lil chopper too much the blade will fall off.
I'll replace the broken blade with a cheap custom-made copy, and I'm
also thinking about painting the blades to either Gray or Metallic Silver with bright red tips.
===================================
A closer 'ground level' look at the yellow helicopter...
There is no doubt in my mind the yellow helicopter fits in perfect
scale with the DX Hangar's crane vehicles.
See the panel lines on the yellow helicopter, and the crane vehicle?
Yep, that's right... I wanna touch up all those panel lines with some Gundam markers!
The yellow helicopter could also use a logo designed after the Photon Lab...
...I think I'll use the red "Z" logo that is on the dorsal wing of the Jet Scrander.
=================================
Another group shot of the vehicles....
...Now that I'm looking at that red Fire Dept. helicopter, it really needs work.
...I'm gonna do such a job on that red helicopter it aint even funny.
I will kick its ass for even looking the way it does right now!

So, a quick review: the DX Hangar has crane vehicles.
Now we see what other vehicles we can add to it. You can find diecast vehicles
at your local Dollar Store, any toy store, at your local thrift store in the toy bins,
and even in the Toys & Games sales section at Craigslist.
You'd be better off finding and buying diecast vehicles IN PERSON...
...if you're not sure about the scale size, grab one of the DX Hangar cranes
(the one which goes mounted onto the upper tiers of the hangar)
and take it along with you to the store... compare the crane's windshield
and driver cabin to the windshields and cabins of diecast trucks, cars, and
aircraft vehicles... and imagine a small person getting inside those vehicles.
That's how you can visually determine the proper scale for adding more vehicles
to your DX Hangar.
If you choose to add vehicles to your set, you'll need the following:
-two helicopters (one for Fire/Emergency crew, the other for Professor Yumi)
-two fire engines, and a paramedic vehicle (every LAB needs a Fire Dept. and an Ambulance)
-a diecast Porsche or Jaguar with an enclosed cab or dark windshields (Professor Yumi's personal vehicle)
-a red diecast motorcycle (for Koji. PLUS POINTS if you find one with a Rider sitting on it!)
-a diecast Bobcat warehouse vehicle (good luck finding this one)
-a diecast Forklift, and a diecast Flatbed truck with crates and barrels
(just get the vehicles. I will make you some crates and barrels from solid water-putty)
You don't Have to have all these items; that is your choice.
But, if you're gonna go this route with custom add-ons to your DX Hangar
you may as well go all the way and make it look the best you can...
...Kill It... Take NO Prisnoners!
