Hello Fellow RJ members,
I need some help/advice;
I just won a Leopaldon Jumbo Machinder on Y!J that is in need of some reproduction assistance. I have already reached out to Kitsir and he has everything I need to make this Spiderman Machinder perfect EXCEPT the casting for the fists.
I'm at a loss as to how I will be able to get fists for my newest acquisition. I know that we have some incredible repro artists out here but have never heard of anyone with Leopaldon parts. Are any other Jumbo's fists interchangeable with Leopaldon's?
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. I'm not expecting anything for free either. Who else can help me aside from Kitsir? I know Bourno did a perfect job with his Combattra with a little bit of help from fellow board members.
I hate the idea of not being able to get fists for this gorgeous, rare Machinder. Please help!

Rodman.
First, GREAT find, congrats....
Second..In all the pictures I have seen they look like the same, standard fists that you find on most jumbos. You could probably buy a set of Boruno's repro hands (gaiking, Daimos, Mazinger) without the cuffs. Do they have a different shooting mechanism?

Looking at a couple photos of the jumbo, it does seem to just have a standard fist only. If you have a GaiKing, you could pull the sleeve off it and see if that shooting fist fits and looks proper.
You don't by chance have a link to the auction? Would like to see how nice the one you won looks. Could PM me instead if you want.

you can bring it back as long as there doesnt need to be much gluing on the already existing molded parts. PE doesnt like glue.....or anything else. i bought a mashed daimos with a stomped head and bb gun holes and boiled him back to life. filled in the cracks with JB Kwik since hes only a display piece. added some stickers and VOILA! he looks pretty good.

I guess he's not anywhere near as bad as I'm making it out to be...........I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist which is antithetical to vintage toy collecting. He has no broken or dented parts. He is only in need of some missing parts & stickers. Between Kitsir and Bourno, I think I'm going to have one heck of a Spider Man jumbo when it's all said and done. Kitsir is working on my T28 now and I'm really excited to see the work first hand.

that is a very rare jumbo...I hope it comes with the spiderman as well. I know you cant wait to get back the finished product of the t28 and the leopaldon ;D

Just an update....I received my T-28 today. If you remember, he was beat to all hell. I sent him out to Kitsir and he looks superb. I will post photos soon.......just had my first child, a baby girl, so I've been paying attention to my newest and most important Jumbo! I promise though, photos to follow!

Thanks 1oldrobot! Not the best photo but you can see the T-28 in the upper row of Jumbos. I'll try to get some better ones in the near future.

That is an AWESOME display. I have often looked at my Detolfs and though about doing the same thing- but I know I'd try to put 2 jumbos in each section and it would look crowded. Yours looks like a department store or museum. Excellent!

Christ, thanks for the compliment. I would try stuffing in two as well if I had the collection you had. Your collection would definitely look like a museum.
I would love to add more Detolfs but what you can't see in the photo is that there is a set of french doors just next to the Chogokin shelves. If I were to add any, it would have to be on the opposite side of the wall. Then I'd have a great setup. Once the Leo arrives and is fixed up, I will remove the bottom shelf of Transformers/Go-Bots (probably sell them) and make room for the Leo, although Leo is top shelf worthy so it might be Disco D-17's new room.

As you know, I'm a big fan of your work. Let me know what you can do for either jumbo and how much. Bourno is making me two fists for the Leo that I can't wait to try out. I will take some photos of the T-28 and post them up....Kitsir, like you and Bourno, did a great job!
Didn't you make some repro stickers for MikeDeco's Leo JM? If they're half as good as the Grendizer stickers you made for me, then where do I sign?
Once the baby takes a nap, I'll head down to the basement and take some pics. Talk to you soon,
