Got this 2nd or 3rd edtion Getter Dragon in great conditon today. I may part him out, Im looking more for the 1st edition.

he came with a nearly full set of original weapons.. these are not reproductions.

came with the star shooter, broken cuff and missing top cover but it shoots great.. no jams and it shoots far

you should do what you want, but i dont think theres a huge demand of getter dragun parts. you might sell the cape for 15 bucks. other stuff would sit.

I guess Ill auction all of it off on ebay.. I picked him up cheap at a local comic store.. his head was crushed and they didnt know that boiling water fixes that right up. What do you think I should start the bidding off at? The star shooter, weapons and all? Maybe 45? |

thats the third gen with no razor cuffs? not in any huge demand. i always tried to avoid this one. 45 is fair. i got one complete a few weeks ago for 27 shipped, but it took some digging to find that deal. having his accessories makes a difference for sure.

yeah I think his 3 axes and those stars alone could go for about 20.. I just dont want to get involved with this one too much..besides the razor cuffs is there any difference between the 1st and the 3rd edition? I havent seen my first editon sence about 1980.. looks to be the same besides the missing saw blades..

other than the sticker at the base of his torso, i dont think theres much of a difference other than the lightning stickers on the legs and the clip for the star shooter.

its a different star shooter clip?? I dont see the difference in the stickers on his pelvis..
reason I ask is that If I could find the 1st or 2nd gen fists, Id probably just keep him.. pop some 1st gen repro stikers and be done with it.. I only paid 40 for him.

Just a few other differences the 1st version is slightly shorter and the hand sculpt is different. The neck has black striping and the head is little softer vinyl I believe. The foot sculpt is less bulky and the wheels are attached directly to the foot . the axes were the spiked topped version. I hope this helps

If you plan on selling, you may want to sell the body and weapons separately as the star shooter isn't complete and less people would want to buy another Dragun just to get the axes and stars.
The only time I look at Dragun is for a cheapie to possibly use as custom, mod fodder for later on. Same with grabbing some cheap Mazingas, but really only want the wheel trucks for fixing up some other jumbos.

I'd sell his stars and axes as separate item lots and maybe his cape as well. That will probably get you back what you have into it.
You could then place what is left up as a straight auction starting at $0.99 and let the market decide what the body is worth (just make sure to figure out correct shipping costs ahead of time so you avoid getting burned on that if it goes low)

I think Ill sell everything off Stars, Axes and shooter..maybe keep the robot for a custom? I was looking at the Monster Kolor brush on paint kits.. is that the stuff I need?

I believe that the 3rd version of Dragun also uses Mazinga upper arms instead of the regular Dragun upper arms found on V1.
