Resuming work in 3D for generating styrene sheet patterns. Revised 3D model for a slender, taller look.

Your going to build with Styrene sheets? Have you thought of 3d printing?

For the mockup, will be building from styrene sheet kitbashed with a 1/60 model kit. Goal is to try make it as near as what the robot looks like in the anime, at the same time super poseable. For the parts with very fine details, like the head, will be done by 3d printing. Looking at www.moddler.com/ to do it, since they seem to have the highest resolution in the industry and wider choices of material

Amazing! Love the sleek look of your VoltesV. So will this be completely 3D printed now instead of kitbashing?

nickgreat - this will be mostly 3dprinted with hobbybase ball and socket joints for articulation. mojacko - I used sketchup for 3d design and cura for 3d printing.

Some updates.... Finally got me some hobbybase ball joints so I can put some articulation on the model. Some poses to see the joints in action. Bits and pieces...happy how the tank thread came out for the volt machine, Panzer 3 Print layer is 0.1mm so print is not that great. This is still in prototype stage, for proofing, and once finished, will print on a SLA machine. Will post more updates. Working on the waist and pelvic articulation now.
