So can anybody confirm if my specimen is the 3rd or 4th version? Now if my version originally had the lightning bolt decals and I place the inverted V decals instead, will I be crucified? ;D Is that a no-no in the JM world? I really like the inverted V vs the lightning bolts. Based upon the lightning shaped residue I would guess it is the 4th version however the 3rd and 4th are basically identical toy-wise except for the leg decals so I'd say just put whatever you want to on it.

Great, I think I had a California varient that was between 1st and 2nd edition.. It was a 1st edtion with elements of 2nd edition, namely that starshooter clip. I never saw that strap at all In California back in those days. Califorina is wierd, when I saw Star Wars on the 3rd day it came out, it had a few scenes in it that were taken out. Namely a scene were Lukes friend on tattooine tries to talk him into joining the rebellion. Anybody else see that? ..and when Aliens came out in California, it had a scene with the robot controlled autiomatic guns that was taken out. Not just in California, I think that everywhere in the first week there was a slightly different version of "Star Wars" out. For example, I remember going into the theater on the Sunday after release and seeing "Episode IV: A New Hope" scroll by as the movie started which made me almost get up and leave because I didn't want to start watching a series of movies from the middle. Fortunately I got distracted (as kids do) by the fire fight on Leia's transport and stayed in my seat. I suspect Fox pulled those copies and replaced them with the next week's deliveries to the theaters to avoid confusing people like I was.
