is sailor moon more famous than koji kabuto or duke fleed? why make sailor moon figures and not robot pilot figures?

Probably there was over 200 combined episodes 3-4 movies and she was the star of the show plus not to mention its global popularity. The stars of the SR shows are the robots, its why we watch, and the main reason we collect. Given a choice between a Mazinger or Koji figure if I had neither I would take one Mazinger over ten Koji figures.

You're right. I would also choose a Super Robot figure over its pilot figure any day. I do wish Bandai or Max Factory (Figma) released the Super Robot pilots some day. We have EVA girl-pilots action figures from every company in existence, but no classic Super Robot pilots at all.
