Too cool. I can't wait to see the final product. Daiku Maryu is beyond a doubt the coolest vintage design ever.  So does the Evolution Toy one actually support the body weight? Cause my Most Wanted is in pieces in my closet after the legs bowed out because it could not handle the weight of the body. Also keep in mind that once you add that SOC Gaiking as the head, you might have weight issues too. |

The legs on the ET Daiku Maryu only rotate at the shoulders, they don't have elbow articulation. It should be able to hold the SOC Gaiking fine. I'm still waiting for my ET Gaiking, but if it doesn't work out for my taste, I may try this same customization with my DM. }D |

This is how it would look like if GX-27 is used with ET Daiku: I just stuck the ET Gaiking horn on GX-27 to make the horns bigger. Gt3ian, I would gladly pay for one of your custom adapter piece once it's done. Thanks. |

I dont know why ET chose copper over gold for their Gaiking.I think the Copper looks cheesey.This looks like a cool adaption.But I dont see the point as the faces are similar,neither look like the head of DM,just the chest of Gaiking either way.Is it because you dont want to by the ET Gaiking? Just curious,if that is so I can see the reason why you would do this.Good Luck!
BTW I may just sculpt a head for him so it looks right.

I see what you mean in the pictures, but if you made those sections a little longer like on the original horns then you could make them tappered and look better.

Looks like a lot of work,if it doesnt pan out are you going to give in and get the ET Gaiking?I hate the toy personally but it does fit the DaikuMaryu.
