Is it just me, or does EVERY MP-04 toy review I've found so far have the same issues with the Chest Plates not aligned properly?
I was planning on getting this at the end of the month, but all the bad reviews about bat chest plate alignment, paint chips and fugly sprue cut-aways are making me think twice.

Additionally, of all the new DVD Edition Anniversary Primes I've seen, they seem to have the same chest problem. So it must be a thing with the newer releases.

That's what I was afraid of.
I wonder if the store I'll be getting the MP-04 from would let me inspect it.
BTW, anyone find a site where possible repairs can be made to the chestplate?

Hmm. I thought that the MP-1 and the Hasbro had the same problem no? I seem to recall that when it first came out. So I think it may be common on all Primes? Maybe Ultra Magnus too?

I've seen the Hasbro re-issues (the ones with the talking base), and YES! They also have the chestplate issue.... ugh! BTW... speaking of Hasbro... anyone picking these up?  |

I think the idea is sorta cool, but visual it does not help it enough for me to bother buying them.

My MP Ultra Magnus has this issue (it's not bad enough to really annoy me, but it's still there). It also has the badly painted smoke-stack issue someone mentioned elsewhere (the tops of the stacks just seem to not have been painted...)..... |

i saw the Hasbro re-issues at toysrus this weekend and i notice that the red on the Hasbro re-issues is more like orange. its like the golden gate international orange. the older mp01 and the hasbro 20th prime was more of fire truck red. and all of them had the QC problem with paint and chestplate. too bad. i would not buy it if the price goes down to $30
