Check this out! Bourno made me a left fist to match the right fist on my new Grendizer. It looks and fits perfect. For you Grendizer fans out there -- Bourno is the man for this job! Thanks for the compliment. Your mattel Grendizer looks great. Having the fist instead of the 3 missile attachment gives it a much better symmetry.

I agree, both fists are better than the missile shooter thing. Bugs me why Mattel (and Popy) even did that for most of their jumbos in the first place, since many of the robots never had such a weapon in their original animes. Nonetheless, the shooter was loads of fun back in the day. ;D I wonder where did that 3-missile shooter idea come from, its origin? (to be answered in a new thread. Let's keep this thread on topic. Thanks) zozo-mag Check this out! Bourno made me a left fist to match the right fist on my new Grendizer. It looks and fits perfect. For you Grendizer fans out there -- Bourno is the man for this job! Here's another restoration, not finish yet as I need to clean it properly. But with the help of Bourno and his amazing parts I was able to go from a junk Grendizer to a nice display piece. Not bad for a 20.500 Yen toy (plus a few $$ for the new parts) ;D and the little cherry on the cake, it's a first edition Grendizer so it almost feel like a great deal. I'm tempted to give the head a little touch up for the paint, but I feel strange about doing that since it's a first edition. Will see later. Oh and while I'm here, anybody has a killer tips for the cleaning? The blue parts are really dirty, I should try to wash them again but if somebody have a killer tip, please don't hesitate to share. I know the subject has already been discussed here, but can't seem to find a specific post about it. Thanks in advance

mike. Try a Mr. Clean magic eraser (if they are available in your country). I used it on my Popy Grendizer & Mazinger Z and it got some of that deep discoloration out. Just needed to lightly dry buff to restore luster after cleaning. Will

So you're the one who out bid me on that one.. Congratulations! I would have tried harder for that one but I'd just bought this guy a week earlier: ... and couldn't justify paying a whole lot on a restoration project.. ~ Note that the magic eraser WILL leave some ~very~ slight scratches behind that are visible only close up and in bright light. Personally, I would disassemble it and just use hot water and soap.

Thanks a lot everybody. @kingboy, your Grendizer is really nice, I remember reading that post, nice restoration. will, thanks for the tip. Not sure if I'm going to use that, or I can try on one of the Mattel I have, just to avoid ruining the Popy. Could you tell me a bit more about the dry buff, I'm not familiar with that. @luclin, I was suprised it ended that low, honestly expecting more fight for it. I remember the Grendizer you bought on ebay, I was tempted to buy it for myself but since I already have a MIB one, I was more looking for a cheap extra one. Yours look really cool too.
