 Hi all, new here. I have been collecting chogokin & SOCs for awhile now but recently got interested in the super robots from my childhood days in the 70s & 80s (Mazinger Z & gang) and can't help coming in here to view the biggest bots around. I got hooked and here's my recent 2 weeks collecting of JMs: From a local collector. U5 Gaiking, Mazinger Z & Great Mazinger.  Most recently scored from ebay! Seller's pic as I haven't got it yet. Popy Reideen.  Next in line would hope to score a Popy Combattler V! ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome! And yes, I am soo obsessed I am planning to stop collecting the rest of my other lines and focus on JMs alone. Just that some JMs are so far reached rare & expensive. Guess I'll just have to prioritised my buys.

Your setup is looking nice. I think the Combattler V is a great jumbo and would look killer amongst your others. Keep the pics coming.

The Uni-Five jumbos are super cool for the Mazinga with wing and popy looking GaiKing

nice to see someone new to RJ not doing backflips over mattel shoguns. awesome collection for just recently jumping into jumbo land. that bowfist raydeen is really neato. as art deco as a japanese robot can get.

Thanks guys! Its from this forum I learnt of the differences between the Mattel & Popy, and I try to pick up the version I like for my collection. Its a bit hard to decide sometimes like the Reideen for eg. I could have picked up a boxed Mattel one for the same price vs the loose Popy one, but I just didn't like the longer left shooting hand.

Welcome to the forum.
You are off to a nice start with your collection. And you are right about the jumbos taking up a lot of space. My Machinders occupy as much of my shelving as both of my Gen 1 Transformers and Microman collections combined.

Congrats on your U5, those are really nice Jumbos and they surely look great together. But that's the problem with Jumbos, once you have a few, it's so impressive that you want even more to push that feeling.
