Yess! While we,re waiting for the main event. Here,s my quick impression black getter.
Pros Beautifully tasteful and understated Packaging with zero poison styro. Nice diecast content Awesome posable velvety cape Tons of articulations Flawless and beautiful satin paint app. Minimal gummy PVC parts. Awesome weighty shelf presence. Makes SRCs look very spidery and disproportionate.
Cons The muffler is made out of smelly PVC. The middle section on brass elbow joints are ridiculously tight. I had to use couple of jewel screw drivers and copious amounts of mineral oil and wiggle it back and fourth to make it proper.
The butt plug on the figure for the base won,t stay put on mine...
Overall, Amazing figure. Highly recommend picking up Getter 1 too.

Yeah I think the Butt plug is a low point on the figure. It could have been implemented a bit better.

This figure is another awesome release from Sentinel. The back panel that comes off to attach the stand, at least on mine pops off really easily, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I love the collpasing knee joints, pull down and the panel goes in, push back up and it goes back up, neat stuff. And dat cape just adds so much more posing options. And yes I still believe his eyes stare into your soul. I guess the butt plug is indeed a design flaw or defect... Also mine is starting to have loose hips and knees. The knuckle spike attachments also comes off very easily. The collapsible lower leg panel is bit cumbersome to me. Still , it,s a great figure even at ninety dollars shipped and I have a Getter one due in at end of March. The cloth cape is just too awesome for words. Along with the bad ass cape, The phat and flat satin black presence totally dominates the shelf.

The butt plug drives me crazy. Mine simply won't come out. Even with tapping on it like instructed.

I'm now having second thoughts on this sentinel getter. I was at the mall yesterday and saw the soc gx-52 getter 1 and it's similarly priced to this getter. I can only buy one figure this month and I'm torn between the two now.

You cant go wrong with an SOC,but wait and see how this one looks and then decide. The SOC will always be better quality and is all diecast, the new engineering is what is being paid for with these new sentinel models, its definately not diecast content. We will wont soon see Gokins made like aoshima or SOC by other companies, the thing presently is heavy on the plastic, moderate or low on the diecast and high on articulation. The trade off for me isnt a great one.I like the quality of SOC.But these Sentinels look really good, and have bells and whistles like cloth capes, triple jointed joints etc.and although cool as hell,Id choose SOC all day long,if I had to choose but thats just me. Quality wise and bang for the buck its SOC.But f you want to stay "current" and up with the times etc.wait and see about this Sentinel.

It looks like I'll have to wait and see the Sentinel Getter in person before deciding. I am still impressed with Sentinels offering but knowing that the soc has more metal, bigger and has the same price makes me lean more on the soc version. The sculpt for the soc version is spot on for the anime of Getter Armageddon. The thing that I hate about the soc getter is the pvc cape but I think making a cloth cape like the one on sentinel is easy.

And you dont have to display the SOC with the cape either....

@baron I thought there was a cloth cape with the Sentinel Getter? Besides I love a good cape on Getter, makes him look more heroic!

@baron I thought there was a cloth cape with the Sentinel Getter? Besides I love a good cape on Getter, makes him look more heroic! I think Baron meant it doesn't,t come with cape on it already. Sentinel black getter def comes with awesome cloth cape . you do have option to have on or off to display him. It takes less then ten seconds to put cape on or off. Grave, I hope you,ll like him. Only PVC parts I can discern we're his muffler and possibly belt. His head and even his hands feel like hard ABS . His tummy, lower body, upper legs, lower legs, elbow joints, ankle joints, and part of center core joint are all metal....that,s not too shabby. He def feels less dense then some SRC may be because Sentinel is using thinner wall or hollow metal or even different alloy formula? But despite some growing pain joint issues, it exudes quality.

I do prefer displaying getter 1 with a cape, he doesn't look complete to me without it.
