It looks great TMZ!! I wasnt completely sold on the pelvic piece but it looks good in this pic.Maybe teh angle of teh other pic made it look to robust.

Thanks! It has to have room to slide up and down with the thighs, otherwise the hip articulation is severely restricted. }D

Love how you painted that Kaiser! And even with the custom paint job, it still looks like a professional figure instead of some typical custom garage mod. Awesome job with it! zozo-mag

Thanks! It has to have room to slide up and down with the thighs, otherwise the hip articulation is severely restricted. }D Gotcha, its just like if you shaved off the very top of the pelvic/underwear,like an 1/8th inch was all i meant,if you look close you can see a lighter shade stripe that would be the perfect amount to shave off.Can the underwear be pulled down a hair?No big deal, its just so perfect,as it is anyhow! SUPER!! Oh wait i see it changes when you articulate teh legs?teh pelvis changes height doesnt it? in that case its fine..

Color pics of the almost finished custom MC Mazinger Z... Comparison with original MC Mazinger Z: Comparison with original Mazinkaiser OVA MC Mazinger Z: All that's left is painting the head and the hands. I may just paint the entire forearms and lower legs and feet in a different shade of blue, but I'm still debating that. }D

About time we got some color photos. Looks great TMZ. Would you consider a dark navy blue for the limbs, or were you thinking a more traditional Mazinger blue? The blue I have in mind is called "Cadet Blue". It is the same as used in the Mazinger Z vs Ankoku Daishogun OVA. Problem is, it is an Oil Paint, which is not only a paint to work with, but takes days or weeks to completely dry (cure). On the plus side, once dry, it is pretty much indestructible. Reminds me a lot of like what is used on the die-cast figures. It looks and behaves the same way. }D

Now working on new "more anime accurate" arms for my custom SRC Mazinger Z... }D Really good job on the 3D printed shoulder TMZ! It does look more show accurate. You think you can do something about those "layers"? Like, coating the shoulder with some paint.. you know this stuff better than I do

LOL... yes, I will smooth it out. I'm gonna try a few ways to do it. Once I'm satisfied with how it looks, I'll print out several of them and try the acetone vapor bath, the sanding, and the smooth-on 3D parts coating resin. Then I'll use the best looking one for the figure. }D

LOL... I know, right?! I have one as a 3D file that I work on from time to time, but the thing holding me back is my 3D printer capabilities and the actual internal "engineering" of the figure itself. When I make my original Mazinger Z figure, I want it to be as good as it can be, and be a durable figure as well. Someday... }D
