Looks awesome. Always been a fan of MakeToys' sculpts...really enjoy that more "muscular" look they give the robots.

Agree and love the way they design and keep the shape "blocky". Line up and silhouettes of their toys are always strong and keep a true character identity.

I am not sure if its the plastic they use, or the way the molds cut the shape, but these are very Maketoy in their styling. Anyone else see what I am talking about?

Thank god the combined mode looks ugly to me and I'm not a bit tempted!! The individual bots look interesting though.

Thank god the combined mode looks ugly to me and I'm not a bit tempted!! The individual bots look interesting though. I like your reason. Me personally, I never cared for Computron and the Technobots. Now if they were to do the Terracons/Abominus then maybe I'll be interested. You know, come to think of it, I never really cared for any of the Autobot combiners. Defensor, Superion, etc... I just don't like the way they look. Likewise, I think Skylynx is on my top 5 ugliest Transformers list along with Omega Supreme.

I think the bots themselves look great. The combined mode feels a little washed out since its such a g1 color scheme.

GIVE ME A PRICE, DAGNABBIT! *rants*
But, I suspect, in the neighborhood of Utopia and Giant...so, around $400 probably?

$400 is the anticipated price; I think TF Source briefly had a $400 price listed when they first put up the placeholder listing for Quantron last week before they blanked it out to $0. I'm looking forward to getting this guy, regardless. I love the unique and different (and creative!) alt modes and gimmicks for all the various figures. Looking at all the care and variety that was poured into this guy made me realize how underwhelmed I was with the more expensive MMC Predaking figures - once I got past the (admittedly stellar) build quality and heavy plastic, there were only really three different robots there with slightly different details. Something like this which has five unique figures with unique transformations, concepts, details, and even coloring motifs stands out in brilliant contrast.

See the variants of paint apps, details and types of plastic ! Crazy ! IMO : clear plastic is okay on Computron and suits this "Technologic and futuristic" character.

I think the Maketoys secret is they maintain proper limb proportion but beef up the width of the body and limbs for a powerful look. They are one of the few makers where the combined mode fists for instance are mid-thigh like there suppose to be and they widen the waist so it doesn't look awkward. To many combiners have the monkey arm, thin waist, super long leg look that just looks odd because it doesn't maintain proper proportion. They also know the difference between design style and having to many details.

Awww. The more I see these promo pictures, the more I want 'em. I just love these Maketoys designs, even if their product tends to be on the higher side of pricing spectrum.
I love drilltanks too!
