Yup when NY first opened for preorder the price was MSRP. They jacked up the price by 5000 yen last night. Of course even at the marked up price I never saw the add to cart button. I wasnt trying hard though.

I doubt NY will give us special rate since the quantity we are ordering is relatively low, Lejam is not a wholesaler (unless that's what he's trying to do), and they are selling out with or without us anyway. There are collectors on MW who would undoubtedly be ordering multiples so I would think the quantity we are ordering collectively is but a tiny corner of the tip of the iceberg.

Anyway, no matter how this turns out, thank you Lejam for doing it. It's good to explore other options when the existing ones are so impossible.

I was asleep then went to work when the preorders opened at Nippon Yasan. Kept getting that product available email every 15 mins and every time I checked the site it was already gone. Somebody posted a another reseller and I got was able to snag one here if anyone's interested. Just like NY though, they do mark up their preorders as well. Did some research on them and they seem to be legit.

Only thing is, if you don't want to pay upfront, select the "Pay by credit card" option.

Since I worked with them and have an upcomming big licenced "project" they will have in charge,
I will sneak a bit to know what options we can have directly from the source...

Ooops! Just went through nin nin games FAQs. Looks like you can use a CC as well which they won't charge til your order is shipped. Stupid me paid right away through PayPal not reading the options first.

Sad news from NY :

Hello and thank you for your email!
I apologize for the delay in replying.
We should have been warned earlier for pre-orders less.
The problem is that our suppliers set up their price as and, this done preorders increase in price for us.
We can not have all our orders at the same price the first are always cheaper then they come in waves with different prices.
You have the main reason why our prices increase.
So unfortunately it is too late for this should really prevent us earlier that we can put all this up next time.
We are in favor of an agreement between the forum and our store but it would put it up for the next product that we are on the page.

Good news is NY is okay to create a bridge between us and them.

So, I have to see what kind o deal we have to put in place :
- discount for members (not really sure it can works)
- secure an item with a lot of orders (like what I tried with this VF-27)
-> NY will order a good quantity and deal good price with their suppliers.

Anyone knows about the best place (website) to get the info about forthcoming releases (before first preorders) ?
Toysdaily ?... Cybergundam ?

I am in touch with Bandai Europe, but the links between them and Bandai Asia is not working so well,
then news are coming not as fast as wanted.

Thanks for the effort though Lejam. A second VF-27 would have been nice at a discounted price. At least I have one already. Toysdaily is a good site but the info is in Chinese. I usually see pictures of upcoming products and usually a date.

had to bite the bullet and order one from NY at 25,000. Hopefully its the last time i do business with them.

Thanks Lejam. Hopefully this turns into something good for RJ members in the future. This release may be the last Frontier valk I get though, not sure what else I would want from this series. So its too bad i had to dish out the higher price at NY too.

The only other valk I'd consider getting is the YF-30, if thy decide to make one.

Staff is nice (French) and ok to deal with RJ members for future releases (same groupbuy list method).
So we have several shops ok, now it's just a question to have the good info about forthcoming releases asap
to have enough time to proceed on early preorders...
