His shoulders look naked without the red covers on. Looks good.
Almost need a silver colored breaker blade.

Man, a model of the Shogun Sanctuary would be awesome! That would also be my first time ever seeing it modeled; keep us posted and post pics when you get it done! zozo-mag Thanks Tony!!! I actually have all the comics. Went through them last night taking every angle shot I could get for when I start building my base for the ST's. I've never seen a model of the Shogun Sanctuary so I thought I would give it a shot.

Is it possible to get stickers that are white and match the legs? I know it is not as good as the shrink wrap but it seems you should be able to find a match in white stickers and trim them to fit. I bet WillOhio could recommend some good types of stickers to use.

Nevermind, I guess you found something. What did you use? Now it's time for someone to build a Red Ronin!

Thanks guys! I have about 4 days in the paint, and it's still not sticking right. I believe making my own molds will be the way I go, eventually. He displays well for now but I'm not one for just looking at my jumbos.
Yeah Bourno, he does look naked, I didn't want to put the red shoulder gaurds on until I seen what I thought about it. I used a set of 3rd edition upper arms that didn't have them for the test. I figured I would take the guards off my 2nd once I decided it worked and I liked it. I like it, but, the paint's not sticking as well as I'd hoped...
I actually have a 3 day weekend this week magengar. I'm headed to the craft store in between chores so I get supplies enough to get started on the Sanctuary. I'm pretty pumped about this project! I got A LOT of practice with miniture building last year with a Christmas village I built and I really enjoyed it, so I can't wait to see if I can do this. I just have to keep telling myself it's from a comic and don't be so anal about details! Lol!!
Red Ronin!! OMG!! I would love to have a jumbo one!! I seen a bootleg one before faulkners, wasn't even close. I think he would have been a great addition to the Shogun Warrior's line. He was great in the Godzilla comics, and really popular.... Maybe in the future...

Bro, just go buckwild with it! If you wanna add some intense detail then by all means go for it. In this aspect of the hobby (making customs, and mods), there are NO holds barred. ---------------- Someone here mentioned Red Ronin as a "jumbo"... Probably the closest resemblance to Red Ronin would be a Raideen jumbo "beater" (Beater = a Used/2nd-hand jumbo in really bad condition)... ...but some of the limb parts would have to be replaced, and other parts must be modified and/or custom-made. He might also have to borrow parts from Mach Baron and Zaborgar for the limb areas. Compare the limbs on Red Ronin (I nickname him "Ronnie". lol) to those of Mach Baron, as shown here... img.amiami.jp/images/product/review/132/TOY-RBT-3312_02.jpg...Ronnie is supposed to have his shield mounted on his forearm, just like Raideen's. The shield produces a laser sword. His head might have to be modified as well. We're talking Major overhaul to produce the ultimate custom Red Ronin jumbo. Oh well, more pics of Ronnie here... www.clubdesmonstres.com/best/htm/red_ronin.htmzozo-mag Thanks guys! I have about 4 days in the paint, and it's still not sticking right. I'm not sure if Red Ronin had ever launched any kind of toy franchise. Back in the day he didn't seem quite popular with the mainstream Marvel fans, except for those few Marvel fans who also happened to be Shogun Warriors fans... ...and then inside That little group there weren't many who caught on to appreciate Red Ronin-- because some of them folks had dismissed Red Ronin as an American rip-off (or Imitation) of the Shogun Warriors robot genre. My guess is, the first place to look, for any Possible Red Ronin toys: eBay. zozo-mag MAJOR customizing!! A bit beyond my abilities at the moment!! Did they make any toys of him? Nothin' on ebay. I've done that search a couple of times. As I said, I did see a bootleg jumbo, but I didn't bid.

Cool custom Raydeen! I always figured the colors were different because of the comic book artists choice/limitations. And I never really noticed until your post that he was that different. Custom is cool, someday someone will end up with my Daimos an wonder WTH? What is this? A Popy? no it's a mattel, no wait.......lol

That's the whole magic of these toys... no matter what gets done with them folks who grew up with these jumbos will always recognize them for what they are, and they'll also see how wide these toys have expanded in this hobby... ...from their original state, to restoration and customization, and beyond. zozo-mag Cool custom Raydeen! Thanks Goldorak!!! I'm liking him more and more as I look at him. I still have to pull a few stickers off and I might as well put the shoulder pieces on. At least he'll look finished until I redo the upper arms.

Was it Popy or Mattel that produced the bow fist version?
