Stupid question, but is this a reissue, an improved version of an existing mold, or a brand new version? I missed out on the first 1/60 YF19.  Likewise, what about the movie version VF1S 1/60 Roy and Hikaru, are they straight up reissues? Gold |

The VF-1's seem like straight re-issue but they do come with stands. The YF-19 looks like a ground up re-do or a very heavily modified upgrade.

I suspect engineering wise the YF-19 will be similar to the awesome Vf-19, which means it will be pretty much all new with the exception of some internal parts they can potentially reuse. The sculpt is new.
As for the VF-1, in addition to the stands, which has storage areas for missiles and parts, it will come with water slides decals (not previously included) and stickers.
What's unknown at this point is whether the box art will feature tenjin's work or not. The 30th anniversary VF-1J does, but potentially because it's from a Hasegawa collaboration.

Love the new YF-19 sculpt!! Just wish they would do away with the thick black lines under the kneecaps. Even on the VF-19F,S,P they just don't look right.
I'm still getting one and the old YF-19(s) I have will definitely be converted to customs.

I hate the price - I would have much preferred they just omit all of those missiles to bring cost down - but it's the YF-19 and it looks terrific, especially battroid mode... ordered.
I think / hope this is my last hurrah with Macross merchandise!

More I look at it... more I can't get by the design itself. Never much cared for the Yf-19.
Its a beautiful piece.. but I hate the Battroid mode and I'm not crazy about the fighter either.
The 340 price doesn't help...If it was a VF-0 re-engineered I'd probably go for it.. but I think I'll pass.
I think the Yf-19 Isamu looks a lot cooler.
