Took a few years off of the Masterpiece line.
This looks like the perfect figure to jump back into collecting the line.
Anyone know the expected retail on this guy?

MAN! Wheeljack looks incredible, still i consider to be kinda of a BS of the exclusive about the Anti-hypnosis Device, it should come out with Wheeljack regardless. i mean is not like is a huge big accessory to begin with.

Pre orders have been out for months on this guy. The price will be the same as all others in that scale and will be 59.99-79.99 depending on where you live/shop.

Didn't know if inflation was driving it into $100+ range.

He seems to be a bit taller than his peers! Isn't he supposed to be smaller in the cartoons?

MP line is setting a kind of universal line-up and design for G1 Transformers. Binaltech was very good too but a bit modern in robot mode and not matching G1 car licences. (let´s sell some collection weights)

Oh, alright. Thanks for clarifying. I must've gotten this image in my mind that wheeljack is shorter from the generations figures.
All's good then!

Rather than Bee, I'm more excited at the prospect of Takatomy releasing the inevitable MP Jazz. A recent interview with Shogo Hasui has stated that it is now easier for them to get car licenses because of Tomy's involvement and their "tomica" diecast miniature car line.

Rather than Bee, I'm more excited at the prospect of Takatomy releasing the inevitable MP Jazz. A recent interview with Shogo Hasui has stated that it is now easier for them to get car licenses because of Tomy's involvement and their "tomica" diecast miniature car line. From SHogo Hasui : * The interpretation of Wheeljack's transformation was rather 'arcane' (new? innovative?). * "Structure of the head and waist became great way stuffing" * The removable shoulder cannon can be installed in the vehicle mode roof. * The hand gun can be stored in the figure's 'underbody' (?). * The wings on the robot's back are transformable, and do not need to be removed. * Thansk to the Tomica branch of the company (model cars), the licensing was a lot easier to negotiate with car manufacturers. * Color of the car mode is faithful to the actual vehicle. On the other hand, the robot mode colors are closer to the cartoon. * Thanks to the sale numbers for MP- Lambor to Streak, they were able to add new parts to Smokescreen, and Wheeljack was developed without having to consider repurposing. * The first three realistic cars of the Masterpiece line were supposed to become 'super cars'.
