Eric, if you will, Can you elaborate on that please? That sounds pretty serious.... Sure i bought an soc evangelion stated as "new" on their site. I get it in the mail and the box is damaged and the sealing tape has been cut. I complained to them that I want a discount equal to a used price or a refund? Even sending a video of the unboxing as proof it was damaged and open (I video all my unboxing of expensive purchases just in case things like this happen). They said it was "checked but not taken out" even thought it clearly was taken out and played with. I wrote several times demanding a refund and then they just flat refused. So I just decided ill never buy from them again. I tried to file a dispute with PAYPAL but lost. Note, this situation is not likely to happen with new items that just came on sale of course. |

So, since we have this magnificent Kaiser coming out, I hope Bandai is making the SRC Mazinger Angels soon too! that would be very interesting to see, but i hope they do the original first. heck since Mazinkaiser is coming out im hoping they do Venus Ace version of the OVA to go with Mazinkaiser since she is the only one i think in no diecast format. |

If Bandai did that with SOC treatment, first day PreO for me. ,Even if it's Boss standalone fig. I also want "cloth" cape and metal chain of course. Bandai, you're not going to let Sentinel rule you over, are you?  Oooooh~ Fight, fight, fight, fighT!!  |

The only thing that sentinel fell short on was diecast and they are fixing that as we all know. Sentinels diecast sr will be the game changer but not the knockout punch. Bandai has mass production on its side to price point is something sentinel can only beat with INCREDIBLE design .... And they are doing it pretty damn well so far!! I just feel like sentinel is truly passionate about super robots yknow? A passion bandai seems to have lost. |

The thing really bothers me the most as Metaltech painfully pointed out is Bandai is making these shrunken headed, thin waist, long limbed interpretations of super robots.. I know the managers completely at fault for approving these freakish designs.
I don't mind bit of artists' creative freedom but Bandai seems to have lost its way in respecting creaters' intention...it goes way~ WAY overboard with it.

All designs need final approval from the license owner so any design that Bandai makes must be approved by Dynamic or Gainax or whoever. If the original owners are fine with the design then so be it, in my mind the original owners and creators of the design have the full right and authority to tweak or change their design as they see fit. It may not be to our liking but it is their right to do so, it is then our right to buy it or not.

I may be out of this game sooner than I thought if things continue the way they have been going... }| I really don't see a problem with modernizing designs as long as they don't turn into off-model disasters like Gurren Lagann. the SRC Grendizer looks FANTASTIC despite it not being perfectly accurate (if it was, it'd probably look like a Jumbo Machinder with hands that look like the Gorilla-Fists that come with SRC Mazinger Z+Scrander), and yes, Gunbuster isn't the dark grey it's supposed to be, and it's a little thinner than I'd like, but it still looks appealing to the eyes.... Mazinkaiser looks AMAZING, I don't notice anything really "off-model" about it save for the pilder, but the image I'm looking at is probably an early one, so it's hopefully a placeholder. and I like the smaller scrander and the option of "Accurate" and "Effect" swords....plus...let's be frank...if they included an anime accurate wings, they'd be too big to display.... |

Why would they be too big to display?the figure is only a few inches.Aoshima has very big wings and there is no problem displaying him. TMZ pointed out the hips are odd on Mazinkaiser and the pilder is crap. I like him alot though,but agree on the pilder.Some people like me and TMZ like total Anime acuracy,but i can deal with a tiny bit of difference.TMZ hates even a little,I cant really blame hime though,Im pretty much the same way. I mean if you designed something as an artist and it was a proven success ,and someone takes liberty with your design,and changes it just because,youd be upset too.I would ! I dont even collect SRs that dont have an anime or manga,or phony versions of them,like the Fewture stuff.But hey thats just me,and it saves me thousands!LOL |
