so what do we have here: - Its gonna be release on November 2013 around $70 (not counting tax or shipping) - Kaiser's hole on the back looks like the one Great Mazinger has which means he will not be compatible with any wing accessories from the rest of the SRC(God Scrander, Jet Scrander,Gurren Lagann's wings, GunBuster's cape) except for Great Mazinger's wing which means Great Mazinger could use the Kaiser Scrander but the rest SRC will not be able to. - he will bring 2 swords, one for dynamic look purposes and the standard Kaiser Blade but not the 2 smaller ones of his shoulders. hmm i see a serious issue with it already, i hope they change the peg hole on his back and for that price he should be compatible with the rest of the accessories. Heck Shin Getter is on the same price if not just a bit lower and he still is compatible with the mention accessories of the SRC. same with Grendizer, his compatible and he is much more lower in price.

This is great news. I still don't have Mazinkaiser and this one looks really good. The pilder does look a bit big. Aside from that, this one is pre-ordered. This year is getting more expensive every day.

What?
Don't mess with upcoming SRC to retro fit it with Great. Great is the one that needs a serious revision yesterday!! Who,s the bright dohdoh bird at Bandai who approve that decision? WTH? The same dohdoh bird who decided to rerelease Great instead of revision "renewal" to fit the rest of SRC I bet.....
Arrrgggggh!!

Wow. It is not using the new joint system/back plug? That is odd.

Well according to Drout, by appearance the upcoming SRC Mazinkaiser has same peg hole in the back as SRC Great Mazinger (which has unique back peg hole....I know, it doesn't make a drop of sense) That's regressing and a disservice to the collectors..so I went nuts.
Sorry for the confusing rant. Maybe Bandai will come to senses and revert back to the "normal" default peg hole now (so we can mix and match his wing with other SRCs..)

Hmmm... the peg hole in the back looks "normal" to me (not Great Mazinger sized). I doubt Bandai would go against their own gizmo swapping idea for no reason. Looking at that new picture, I think I'll have to modify the upper arms and file down the girly curl on the thighs. }D

That's exactly what makes this figure stand out from the rest. Those arms and lip around the leg give him a somewhat steampunk look. I agree on the pilder and scrander, but please don't take away the arms and lip *sniff*

Oh snap! I just recalled were I saw before that girly curl you are refering to... In gladiator movies! You know, as in barbarian and bloddy brutes! Man, those Roman gladiators where so intimidating back then. Please don't take away the arm and curl, it's the only thing separating this toy from previous versions. You change that and you end up with a mini Max Factory Kaiser (that also rocks by the way)

I just had an awesome idea!
A 10 inch Koji Kabuto figure with a Gladiator style Mazinkaiser armor! Fully removable. Something along the lines of Saint Seya. THAT I would buy! Just imagine removing all parts and forming a chibi Kaiser just like in Seya!
Come on toy companies... Get working on it!

Any gimmicks? I assume rocket punch will be one right? If you mean the old Soul of Chogokin-type spring-loaded rocket punch arm, no, probably not. I can't think of any SRC that had this feature. But it will quite likely come with rocket punch special effect parts (smoke trail), like Grendizer did.

Shin Getter and Grendizer makes it even more clearly that Mazinkaiser is using Great Mazinger's peg hole design. im hoping that its just a prototype and that the final product will use the standard peg hole design. at this point it would be ridiculous not to make Mazinkaiser's peg hole the same as the rest.

IMHO I could care less about swapping. I'm never gonna do it anyway.

IMHO I could care less about swapping. I'm never gonna do it anyway. I agree. Not sure why people are making a big deal. As long as they can use their own items, its a sound design.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that it stands it's own. It's looks to be a great fig. And I sincerely thankful for Bandai for releasing it. I really do.
But this IS a news of concern. And I thank Drout for bringing it to our attention. Because, if it's true, then it's regressing in feature. A feature that Bandai itself hyped and touted as part of future SRCs.
I feel as a collecting community we want our beloved companies to progress and improve. And one of major part to do so is for us to voice not only why we like about the product, but more importantly, what and how they can improve. By not criticizing, and accepting their mistakes and status quo, we are only hurting ourselves and our beloved companies who produce our figs.
