i suppose an american "jumbo" of trayvon martin that shoots bullets back out of its chest would be more offensive. not to me, of course, but to those who have knee jerk reactions to what theyve been taught to find sanctimonious in their standard issue ways of seeing things. that toynami pyramid thing is gay. saw it cruising the castro in sf.

Wow 1old, all I got to say is wow. That was a reply on so many levels of wow. I think offensive is part of the capital WOW.

Does anybody remember the movie BIG? Tom Hanks is at the meeting and playing with the transformer that turns into a building and says "I don't get it" they explain to him that it transforms from a robot to a building and he says how is that fun? what's fun about playing with a building? That is how I feel about this shogun. if you are going to make a robot that transforms, make it something cool and fun, like a god bird, or a tank, or lions. to their credit though they are trying to develop original characters to expand the jumbo world. If the price is right I may even add it to my collection, but like Bourno said earlier, it isn't something I am going jump to add to my collection. Some of the others mentioned in this topic I may have to rush out and buy (Bender, the 24 inch alien , and Boba Fett for example) .

Cant wait for the new alien 24 inch. Hope it is better than the 1979 version, but with the way things are made today, I highly doubt it.

I agree. Todays toys kinda stink. All of them seem to have light weight plastic and are cheap. Even if they state they have diecast, its still more plastic than metal. If you want the more decent versions, you have to pay premium prices. Like super hero figures for example: If you're poor, you can only buy the dinky 7.99 Superman figure. If your middle class, you can afford the DC Comics Legends Edition Superman for $15. Then comes the rich guys figure, the movie edition Man of Steel at $29.95, or the limited movie edition at $49.95. When I was a kid they had 1 version, the 1986 DC Super Powers Superman for $3.99. 1 version, no limited edition garbage at all sorts of prices. Today each store gets its own version. Toys R Us has an exclusive figure, Target has an exclusive figure, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Costco, and on and on. Then to top it off, the comic shops have the super limited, deluxe, numbered, signed by cashmoney or has some artist's special package art, chrome or gold version foil, with a special comic, and includes Superman's Grandma's version. And the toy still seems so over done and cheap. Its almost as bad as baseball cards got in the late 90s to early 2000s. And look at baseball cards now, they've almost limited editioned themselves out of existence. I miss the simple days of toys in the 70s and 80s, and like even older toys for the same reasons. Simple, well made, easy to collect, affordable for all price, and not several different versions (with exception to some found variants) with all sorts of limited edition stuff.
