I'm actually going to start in the Gunpla world and I need a few tips as I'm going to start my first model in over 10 years (my first were those cheap Gundam Wing models that were sold everywhere when the show was on Cartoon Network). I don't want to just do a straight out of the box build as I do want some added look and feel, so here are my questions:
1. Panel lines : Wash or marker? And do I do it straight on the plastic or should I clear coat it first? 2. Coat : Glossy or matte? 3. Labels : Before or after coat? I read that the results are better on a glossy surface, so should I do it straight to the plastic or coat glossy first then apply the labels then recoat? 4. Nub marks : Just sand them? How do I cover up scuff marks from the sanding or will a 1000 + grit do that or clear coat? 5. White marks: How to avoid them? Cut the pieces with extra nub and sand?
Sorry for all the newb questions. I've looked everywhere on the net and there are so many different and often conflicting tutorials. I figured I'd ask here since this is where I like to read and post and Kumas models looking amazing!
