Would love any of those. Eva 03, Grendizer, Mazinkaiser and a ton of other non-Gundam mechs, too!
Hopefully Pose+ having a competing line with their "Style" series and ThreeZero with their DLX and Robo-Dou lines will get Bandai interested in being more risky with Metal Build.

Freedom was the second figure in the line, after Seven Sword 00 but I remember the reviews not being as good. Thanks for confirming that because I wasn't exactly sure when writing it, but yea. Both the joints on the 00 a freedom mold (along with the EXIA) were fairly trash but the Freedom had that dated styling to it as well that I think got it more flack than the previous. I owned it and it was the only toy I've ever gotten as a gift that I've sold.

Yeah there's something with those older MB joints, the 00 7 sword I displayed once and put back in the box, after a while took it out to play with and the knee joints got loose just sitting in the box with minimal handling. Those first couple of releases Bandai was for sure still figuring things out.

Which is funny because at the time it came out, I think the 00 Seven Sword was hailed as being a virtually perfect figure and it sold out really fast despite having what was at the time a pretty high price point for a non-combiner gokin.

Honestly I don't know if it's just coincidence but it seems like around the time the 3rd Party Mo Show quanta came out and just blew their existing joints out of the water is when they really started to get it together in that area. It's always been progressing but it feels like competition made them really take that leap towards consistency.

After the Figma Ryuki came out and got pretty good reviews, the SHF version came and pretty much made the Figma obsolete. That's why I'm hoping that with all the new lines that are able to compete with Metal Build, we'll see some better initiative from Bandai.

Yeah I think for its time the 00 7 sword was unprecedented, the joints are really the only thing letting it down hence the re-release 7S/G. Bandai was also just testing the market for high price Gokin figures largely due to its fan base growing up lol. The Freedom was sort of a step back aesthetically IMO, and that's why it felt like a let down. I think with many of these new lines Bandai finds its stride after/around the 3rd release. Example, the HiRM Barbatos and Wing EW were trash cuz of parts popping off everywhere, 3rd one was Astray Rwd Frame which was super solid as was God Gundam. (I'm not counting in between varianta like Wing TV or Astray Noir). The RG line has been hit after hit ever since they ditched the entire pre injected inner frame idea due to the floppy mess that was the Sinanju. Tallgeese, Unicorn/Banshee, Sazabi, Nu, Crossbone have all been great kits that are possibly better than the MG variants. Formania EX line was also a big step with the 3rd release of the GP01-Fb, which I think indirectly led to the Metal Structure line. Makes me wonder about the 3rd or so Metal Structure, hahaha.

I wonder what the next Metal Structure would even be? Also, I wonder if at some point in its lifetime the MB Freedom was going to be a Metal Material Model since that line was so SEED/ SEED Destiny centric? That may explain why it doesn't feel quite as advanced as the 00... my biggest gripe with it is the fact that it's feet can't really stand flat on the ground and so one of the feet looks like it's always broken. Also, why does the logo make it seem like "Concept 2" is going to be some kind of sub-line? The line doesn't have enough first concepts to be looking at more remakes.

It may be referring to the Tamashii Nations event last year, they had two concepts that were on display but prohibited from photography. Concept 1 was the GN Arms, and Concept 2 was this Freedom 2.0. That's my guess anyways.

Here's hoping we get a teaser for Justice to go along with Freedom, too!

Looks nice but somehow I'm not as excited and that could just be me. Since it's a regular release, I'll wait for US PO.

It's not substantially different or unique enough. Unless they have some special gimmick? I'm going to wait and see if it gets a release stateside. Hope you all are staying safe from the virus! I guess this is a good opportunity for me to chip away at my backlog lol.

It's a general over the counter release, and given how popular this MS is, I am sure there will be a second release in Sept, so I don't think this will be a blood bath tho. PO should be pretty accessible from all channels.

I don't have the o.g. one - so I'm all in - plus I do really like Freedom and how in a way simple it is. Yes, blood bath PO - may the tamashii god's smile down on us that night. And yes, stay safe everyone! ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png)
