I am guessing here that he used to be able to find pre-orders using a particular search method in HLJ but HLJ has changed the way their pre-orders can be found in searches now. I have no idea how the HLJ preorder system works. I was trying to use the Search Engine to find the Metal Build Freedom, but it never popped up. Then I saw the “Preorder” section on the home page... I’m guessing it comes up there(?).

Spent 20 min on the AmiAmi website and it looks like I was able to secure one… I think. that's crazy, it said sold out in about 7 min. Hope you got one! I was able to get on the product page early on, but after I added it to my cart, it took forever. I just held on, avoided refreshing, went through the ordering process. Each step took 3-5 min. I got my confirmation number soon after. I honestly didn’t think I would get one.

f**k this. HLJ changed their preorder system again & it just showed up in their August preorder filter. Stupid question time; what does this mean? After they updated their site people needed time to figure out the system & this was one of them. When you click on the preorder filter, you can trim down the search option by each month & new items would appear there first without accessing an item's specific page & because their site allows it you can "Add to Cart" any item showing up there. I'd even say new figures would usually show up there before the latest preorders page but for some reason they waited 12 minutes before they updated the "August" filter. That's why people need to keep an eye on the release date. As you can tell by my frustration, it's a horrible time to change it. XD

Yeah at this point I'm just betting on either Bluefin or P-Bandai USA bringing it over since it is a relatively popular suit. I'm personally more interested in the Dynames repair or Blue Frame 2nd.

If those of you from the states can really get from Bluefin, we at Asia will be happy for you that you can get your MBs at cheaper prices And you can cancel you Japan POs for us to procure. Cos for most of us, getting from Japan is cheaper than getting from our local stores who either sell high due to the rarity or have no choice but to sell high due to Bandai's distributors forcing them to take unwanted products to exchange for every MB.

Yea I've added items from the search results page before but never used the filters like that; that's actually a tremendous feature and obviously keeps the person from having to know the exact name it's listed under. That stinks about the date thing but appreciate you sharing the information here.

dont' buy. Super overpriced especially this is a general release. Pretty sure there is plenty site open later with PO. It's going to be like Gundam X1 it's widely open for a long time.

I was relying on fellow members to post the links.
I didn't really bothered trying with AmiAmi and Hobbysearch.

The economy is heading towards a recession. Bandai will do whatever it can to protect itself or cushion the impact on its business. I am sure they will produce more quantities of MB Freedom to fulfill as many pre-orders they can. I won't be surprised if this becomes readily available at launch date. But of course the release date in August means Bandai has around 4.5 months to produce them and ship them out at least 2 weeks before the official launch date to their overseas markets.

I agree, that price is ridiculous and price swapping is not something I will support. It's fairly likely you will see it at much more normal prices further down the line. Many of these MBs are decently priced even on Mandarake 6 months after release. No need to jump the ship.

Also not a fan of the metallic paint on this one. I'll bet they will release a "soul blue" version later on just like the strike freedom.
