To be fair the exias and psycho gundams are pretty old releases. I'm trying to get the GFFMC Z gundam (really old but I'm a UC guy and I need it).

Hi everyone! I am aware that the Metal Build line has been available for almost 10 years. I own at least 6 of em and I am wondering what would be the top 10 releases of this line? EXCLUDING Full metal panic. Also, would you guys recommend the Aile Strike Gundam over the Soul Blue Strike Freedom? I know the Freedom is re-release with a slightly different color scheme. Strike and Strike Freedom (OG and soul blue) are all pretty solid. I would recommend either one depending which one you like better, or get both eventually Just stay away from GFFMC unicorn lines and predated 00 7sword and original freedom. Freedom MB 2.0 is not considered re-release and there is more than color scheme update. It's added a lot more details, gimmicks and I would anticipate better joints on par to latest MB quality. I think it's better you tell us which 6 you have and what are some of the MB figure you wanted to get, and ppl here can suggest a thumbs up or down. I have Crossbone X1 Astraea + Proto GN High Mega Launcher Aile Strike Gundam GFFMC: Char's Zaku Eva-01 and 02 I was thinking of getting another Aile Strike because I like it so much, but is the Soul Blue really that good? I know about the newer Freedom being an entirely different mold. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. In all honesty, I'm really debating hard on whether to get the Figuarts Chogkin Hulkbuster Mark 2 vs the Soul Blue.

Without the anime background. I would recommend the GFFMC gundam rx78-2 (the origin or the 40th anniversary edition) and the char zaku, GFFMC wing zero EW is pretty awesome, also the last metal build crossbone releases are both great, tons of extras, very well engineered, and beautiful sculpt. I am only talking about figures I own, and I think the unicorn releases are ok (the magic lies in the transformation). Also as someone says I've seen it in reviews and the MB amatsu mina is pretty impressive. Thank you for the recommendation! I actually preordered 2 of the rx78-2s from BBTS. I've seen reviews of that little guy and I love the ratcheted knees! I wish we had that those features with the metal builds (like the soul of chogokins).

The RX-78-2 Origin sure is good, but it probably won't wow you like recent good releases since it was a pretty old design (2011). Articulation is hindered by the Core Fighter, and joints have more gaps and less appealing shapes. But it still looks great and full of optional parts. I actually like my older reissue from 2-3 years ago over the recent 40th Anniversary ver. The new deco shoulder decals seem a bit overkill.

Keep an eye on Hobby-Bee.com ToyTards (goes by Toyka) is also a good option if you call them. There's also Ame Toy Store & Gacha Hobbies but they tend to increase their prices in 2nd market territories if you miss out on a preorder. Shaun is the name of the Ame store owner, if you ever contact him show him that you are familiar with preorders from Japan & maybe you'll soften him up a bit. XD I suggest emailing the first 2 stores on whether or not they will bring it to Canada. Good luck & check out this thread between now & then for links.
