Looks like this will be my last shipment from Japan for a while (due to COVID-19), so decided to go out with a bang. And a bang on the wallet indeed...thanks DHL. Wasn't going to get the new Red Frame, but changed my mind after I found out about the Powered Arms and the 150 Gerbera Straight Set. While I haven't got the time to mess with all the options yet, the new Red Frame body turns out to be quite good. Very solid overall, though I find signs of the age of the design, as some articulation is not as good as more recent MB releases, and I find some tightness inconsistency randomly on both the body and the Powered Arms. While sturdy, some joints are tighter/looser than the other, and that ankle/feet design was not meant to hold all the gigantic add-ons that Astray tend to get year after year. But all in all, its pretty nice with the new paint with a few very minor flaws on mine (versus horror stories I heard from HK folks), and love the 4 armed configuration I currently have. The Japanese names for the blades reminds me more of a perioded Chinese kung-fu drama (like in G Gundam) and akin to super robots, rather than an actual Gundam show (especially I only watch UC stuff). But I am glad I got this bad boy even though it cost a fortune. Haven't got this excited for a piece for a while. Attachments:

That photo is AMAZING. It looks so much like an official marketing photo that I had assumed we had a rerelease of the Powered Red coming out.
A few days ago I got impatient with my BBTS order not shipping so I cancelled it and ordered the Kai from Amazon.co.jp. Still playing the waiting game on that thing to ship...
To those with all of the Astray add-ons, I'm always curious how people display them. I've alternated between having an Astray "armory" with unequipped add-ons in back, but right now I'm digging the cleaner look of shoving the unused packs into storage.

I have a few on US order and seeing stuff like this makes me want to just say eff it and order overseas quick.

I have a 2nd Red Astray on preorder with BBTS & I'm not sure about keeping it.
My 1st one is sitting at HLJ warehouse along with the Green Zaku & there's a part of me that wants the 2017 release of the Red Astray just to have some variation on the shelf even if it's little.
What would you guys suggest?

What would you guys suggest? Can't tell you if you need a 2nd Red Frame Kai Alternative Strike, but I can tell you that Kai Alternative Strike is definitely better than 2017 Kai. Not having bare red and white plastic (though have glossy plastic treatment) made a huge difference. 2017 Kai may have some cool decals, but the overall difference on paint finish is night & day. And not just one shade of matte white, it actually has a few different warmer and cooler shades of whites and light greys, and the silver also looks better than the old gloss grey. The multi shades of metallic purple on the abdomen is also extra nice. Go with 2020 Kai Alternative Strike instead of 2017 Kai, if you have to choose one.

Had some Amazon japan credit and it ended up being 18700 JPY shipped so went on ahead and ordered the Kai. Should be in next week.

Does anyone know if the Catelvwch is compatible with the previous Flight unit? I have the previous flight unit and I hope I don't need to spend more $$$? There's no information around the web that I can find. I'm also not sure what the difference is, besides the additional adapter to connect to the Strike Gundam and slightly different apps. Thanks for any help.

Man Red Astray already shipped. That has to be a record for AJP for me as they usually take a week to ship out. Gets here tomorrow.

Wow...4 Catelvwch! That's awesome!!! Where did you get that V-Fin to complete the Red Dragon? Thanks for helping me save some $$$ on the flight unit. Truth be told, four was a bit overkill haha. Long term I'll probably stick to three since there's a voice in my head that likes the "canon" look of just three. For non-canon absurd overkill things I have the Astraea. I got the horn off eBay, this is the item: www.ebay.com/itm/A-model-Horn-effects-parts-for-RG-MG-PG-Astray-Red-Blue-Frame-Gundam/313061659000?hash=item48e3edd178:g:vZUAAOSwMtJcmZ8LThough that one is wildly overpriced, the one I bought was like $12 shipped. There is another brand of Red Dragon horn that I have and wasn't wild about, the one you assemble yourself looks much better. You have to modify it a bit to fit the Metal Build but it isn't too tricky.

Have the same feeling with the Exia. I have the Trans Am and Exia Repair (my favorite version) but now I want that 10th Anniversary version too... even though at one point I said, I'll either get the 10th Anniversary or the Trans Am, I don't need both exclusives.

It's not even that, honestly. I just personally have a thing about getting repaints that I consider "complimentary" pieces without having the original. In my head it's like just having a desert without dinner at all lol.

alright so Red Frame Kai came in today. I think it's really neat but the space between the bot and the backpack is pretty ridiculous. I understand the need for a hinge on the connector part for when it's up in its flight mode but since the connector is a separate piece there should have been another one included with no hinge so that it can sit flush while down.
