... I am skipping the chronicle yellow version... Indeed. LOL. I suppose that is one advantage on the new F91. The fully painted body is less likely going to yellow compare to bare plastic years down the road. And its already pre-yellowed for you.

Same here... already have regular F91 and option set. I dont need another one, except harrison maddin, he is cool, and maybe someday I'll end up getting it to put next to the crossbone ones

Speaking of F91, it reminds me of the early college days when I first drove myself to San Francisco looking at import toys for the first time (new driver). There weren't many choices, and the couple shops I visited were long gone by now. But without knowing a lot about the show/movie, and it being the few things at the shop I could afford at the time, I picked up the MS in Pocket F91. I believe it was the first Gundam toy I ever bought since I came to US after moving to here in 1991 (toy collecting wasn't a thing for me just yet). A US$20-30 toy almost 30 years ago... ...now became a $300 and much more sophisticated piece. While F91 is not necessary one of my favorite Gundam design, I do appreciate its styling and uniqueness. The Metal Build sculpt is pretty sleek and modernized, but it still retains a lot of Kunio Okawara old school goodness, especially on the head and the chest. Chest is really detailed with the gold etching plating, and the transforming head surprisingly didn't bother me as much, and left it on for display (the opening face plate gimmick is pretty fun). Chronicle Yellow Ver. it may be, but still pretty neat regardless.

Man, this Chronical White F91 is a big disappointment. That "white" is more like a discoloration due to UV damage than it being a different shade of white. It has that classic "yellowish" tint look that a white finish forms when exposed to too much sunlight. This is an easy pass for me.

Been keeping my eye on BBTS for the PO to start. But, I'll play the gambit and see if more stock releases for Amazon Japan for the blueberry Zaku. I did order the Metal Spirits Barbatos Lupus though...the pricing for it has been stupid and I suspect it'll be harder to track down.

Still enjoying this piece, but what a pain to change out the hands and the VSBRs, with such stiff peg connectors on the wrist and the back that doesn't give you good grip to push those in. Feels like I am about to break something doing it... Attachments:

As a tip, mpchi, if you have a light source, hold your fist to it for about 4-5 seconds and it'll soften and go in easily. Albeit, this has to be a traditional bulb light and obviously, not an LED. FWIW, it works well for me.

Would have save a lot of wear and tear trying to put them on the hard way. In fact, blow-drying F91's hands for 10 sec made them soft like tofu LOL. Need to ice them back to shape once it got on.

F91 is such a great design, I think the MB is underrated. It is a very good figure, just does't stand out as much as other designs and it is also a bit small (F91 is a small MS), but is a real sleek and classic design. Great Pics MPCHI. After reading crossbone steel 7 I want my Harrison Maddin version (I'll display the regular with VSBR, and the harrison maddin just plain among the crossbone MS).

I'm glad they didn't stick with the 1/100 scale with F91 otherwise it would be a tiny 15cm instead of 17cm. Some collectors prob don't like that the scaling is off, but the later UC mobile suits post-Char's Counterattack really were much smaller, which would have resulted in even more fragile parts and less detailing.

Agree. I wouldn't want the F91 to be smaller than what it already is. Compare to say Red Astray Kai, F91 is still smaller, but not by too much.

Got Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina Princess ver. last week, I think the black matte finish and red highlights are the best look for the Amatsu. Some armor parts are a bit too fiddly though which can be frustrating and some joints are too tight, like the bicep swivel, and the right leg was a little loose. Over all there I still like this Suit a lot even the third time. Attachments:

May pick it up if I see it for a good price.

May pick it up if I see it for a good price. Personally, I like the matte black and red slightly better than the glossy black and magenta, thought the original version still looks great. The matte finish really makes the gold parts pop ( I think this is also due to the brighter gold color they went for on the new version). For practical reasons, I also like that fingerprints are less of an issue on the Princess version.

I really, really like this suit design, especially since it's colors are a lot different than the traditional white, blue, red Gundam color scheme. I also like the unconventional shape of the wings. Hmmm... I'll probably be collecting until I'm no longer interested in mecha, but I don't think that'll be anytime soon.
