With Zeon mechs now going with the GFFMC line, I am praying I'll live long enough to get a gokin Wasabi, Geara Doga, and Kampfer...I can dream at least. Likely these get released when I'm like 80 and the world is ending. They did say they were going to be making some 0079 and Zeta suits into Metal Build so don't give up! Surely we'll all get that ACGUY we need!

I wonder when we will get the next update on future Metal Build releases. The drought in news has certainly been noticeable lately.

I think with the GX-100 announcement around the corner, Bandai will be keeping the news of some of their bigger lines on hold for a bit? Once we know what GX-100 will be, we'll probably get some reveals for the Metal Build and GFFMC lines?

Well, we're getting to that time of the month when the new Figure Ou and Hobby Japan are released, so Bandai will probably be announcing their new pre-orders in the next couple of days. I guess we'll find out soon! But here's hoping we'll get a little Justice for Metal Build fans!

Yeah, I also think the Strike Noir is inevitable. Every variation of the Strike Gundam is gonna get a MB release eventually.

Color scheme looks great.
I already have 3 MB Aile Strike Gundams (there were so many option sets) - 1 Gunbarrel Striker - 1 Lightning Striker

The Strike Rogue is up on P-Bandai USA: p-bandai.com/us/item/N2580351001001Pre-orders start this Monday on the 28th. My only hesitance in picking up the Strike Rogue is that Bandai has a habit of selling Striker packs separately. I can easily see them selling the Ootori Striker pack separately a year from now. I don't want to drop $300+ to get the Ootori Striker pack (not really interested in the Strike Rogue figure) if it comes out separately for one-third of that price in a year.

I actually disagree with you on this. In the good old days, Bandai did release the option pack and a combo set separately and simultaneously for existing owners to have a choice. I am talking about the 00 + Raiser; Sever Sword + Gun; Red Frame Kai + tactical arms and tiger pierce option pack. But later, they stopped this kinder strategy and have been releasing more combo sets. Crossbone Full Cloth is the most recent and blatant example, as the full cloth could have been easily sold as a standalone. The re-release of Red Frame Alternative and F91 (Chronicle yellow version) are also combo sets. This Strike Rogue + Ootori Striker pack is another combo set. I think the ONLY example in which Bandai released a combo set *first* and then re-issued the option set as a standalone *later* is the Aile Striker. Bandai has no pattern whatsoever. We should stop believing that they do. There used to be a pattern that Metal Composite line is for UC, and Metal Build line is for non-UC. Well, that's changed when F91, Crossbone, and later Nu Gundam appear as Metal Build. Meanwhile, Wing Gundam Zero EW showed up in Metal Composite.

Quick question/favor. Anyone has the god gundam hi resolution? Can you post a picture of it next to a metal build? Really love god gundam and I've been thinking about filling the void with it (I've seen a lot of reviews and is close to MB/GFFMC quality) but I'm worry about scale...

While I don't have it myself, I can tell you already that the finish is not going to match very well. It is still a pretty plain looking plastic kit with just a little diecast on the inner frame, but not close to the extend of Metal Builds and GFFMCs. No markings, no panel lining, no paint in most places leave it look out of place if you plan to blend into the MB GFFMC crowd, unless you are a pretty skilled modeler. It is labeled 1/100, so I don't think the scale will be much off, and probably the lesser of your concern. This is not on par with MB/GFFMC. Compare to a 10 years old GFFMC

The only metal parts are in the feet. They really help my noir stand well, despite its giant wings. However, the design is bulky. Big feet, biceps everywhere. You either love it or hate it. Put it next to a MB astray. You will see the huge difference.

Mpchi I've seen many reviews, and it comes with many stickers. With just a bit of panel lining it looks really cool. Really love god gundam and I don't think we will get a MB or GFFMC ever. I just collect those 1/100, and probably if there is ever a release it will end in the Metal robot line. dgn do you have a picture of those 2? It will help...I know this ones are in the bulky side.

I don't have problem with the sculpt on the God Gundam. Just that when you mentioned to go with your MB /GFFMC collection, the paint and detail I don't think is up to par. It looks like it just have gloss treatment on bare plastic, and many small areas and crevices that normally is painted is left blank. But if you don't mind putting some work to it, or at least give it a bit of paint or matte coating, it can look a lot better. I was just going with the 'out of the box' look. If your love is strong on this one, go for it.

Go for the HiRM kits. Despite being model kits they are very solid and not at all floppy. Can be handled like a toy after you build it. Also the plastic treatment is much better than usual MG/RG kits. The textures and variations of high gloss and satin finishes looks very cool in person, but like mpchi said, if you put some extra love into the build with paint and different coatings it will look even better.

Just not the earlier ones like the Barbatos or Wing Zero Custom. After Astray Red Frame they made a lot of changes to the line and tolerances are much better and joints are solid.
