Sonava...I keep forgetting about these guys. Added to my bookmarks... Ah well, at least BBTS is reliable for their stellar packing and I do like their PoL system.

These things are getting way too expensive. That being said, this looks absurd in a good way and I will likely get it.

Its nice that they sell the different add-ons separately as an option for people already own the previous Red Frame Kai. But I find the Red Dragon looking pretty ridiculous with all those stuff hanging on its back. Its too much for me, as much as I like cool backpacks. The beam antenna is cool though. I'll just stick with the giant arms on my Red Frame. Those look ridiculous enough already.

Hope we get some info on MB Serbine or Gurren SEITEN soon. At this point I think the only announced MB Gundams that haven't been released yet are Crossbone X-1 Skull Heart, Providence, Strike Noir, and 00 Seven Sword Inspection. Wonder which one will be next.

As if the gimmick is meant to slot in additional HWS armor pieces. So it is just the matter of time when that get announced. Just hope they will go with the Option Set route, and not force me to buy another Hi-Nu for the armor.

Thankfully, the team behind MB development seem to be pretty big fans of option sets and customization. Sirbine looks so good from the Tamashii Nations pics, I'm really excited to get more info on it.

Just spent nearly $400 to pay off my pre-order for the Hi-Nu, by far the most I paid for a single collectible. I can afford to get this, but it feels financially irresponsible to spend ~$400 for another collectible so soon after paying off the Hi-Nu. Luckily, I already have the OG Red Frame, OG Flight Unit, and one Caltvwich. Will be far cheaper to just buy two used Caltvwiches option sets and the new Red Dragon option set. Will probably run me about $250 all together going that route compared to the >$400 I'd pay if I buy the full Dragonics.
In any case, the prices on these MBs are getting to be a bit much. Don't know how much longer I can stay in the collecting game if releases are regularly approaching $400 a piece.

I pre ordered the X0 full cloth and skipped the HI Nu (I hope they do Nu one day). Probably my next MB will be the strike noir (my first strike, since I never got any of their variants before). Agree that this line is becoming more and more expensive really fast... but I love Gundam and you can't get better than the GFFMC and MB lines...

We can probably thank Sentinel, CCS Toys and Pose + for the high prices. Bandai can see that those figures are selling regardless of the very high price point (Sentinel's Transformers gokins are $400 minimum, POSE+'s Baikanfu and Gaogaigar were over $400 and $500), so they're probably trying to take some of advantage of that while being just below those price points. Also, Astray Red Dragonics is essentially Red Frame Kai + 3 expansion packs... so $380 is probably where I'd expect it to be. I'm expecting Providence to be pretty expensive since it's a pretty chunky suit, but hopefully Strike Noir will be sub-$300. If Shin Getter and Mazinger 0 are scaled up to compete with POSE+ and CCS's figures, they maybe a higher price point too...

Hmm...the more I look at the head, the more I like it. If P-Bandai US carries the head option set, I might spend $40+ and just get that one to add to my Red Frame Powered. The beam antenna and the flip down red face spikes are cool! DOPE!

Which one are you guys going for? The Dragonics or the Red Dragon? For those of us who already have a Red Frame, flight unit, and/or at least one Caletvwich, going the Red Dragon route is definitely cheaper. If you don't have a Red Frame, then going the Dragonics route may actually be cheaper. There's also the design to consider. I think the Dragonics is a bit too much design-wise for me. I don't see it fitting in well with my collection. The Red Dragon is also has a "busy" aesthetic, but it is more subdued than the Dragonics', which makes it a better fit in my collection.

I probably don't qualify to answer, since I am only interested in the new head. But I think as a whole, the Dragonics full set is nicer, if you like this iteration. There are a couple new parts here and there on the body and those extra red blades, as well as the new paint & markings that fits better with the spikey look. But that is really for folks without the Red Frame or have deep pockets and shelf space to get duplicates. Piece meal with the option sets just makes more sense money-wise, but feel slightly incomplete without the new changes.

If I ever get an astray red probably would go with the astray red Kai (I think it has the right amount of equipment). Having said that, if I were into this one I would go for the draconic (looks way cooler), and sell the other one (it the financial and space friendly decision). PD: I wonder if the turn Red astray will be coming next...

So...I have the original Red Frame Kai (not the Alternative version) and the original flight unit. Would the option set and the caletvwich fit what I have, if I want to create the Red Dragon? Does anyone know? Thanks.

Does anyone know? Thanks. Can't tell you. Though the video featured the Alternative Strike version for the option sets. You might have to dig around some Metal Build specific forums or reviews to see if there are any differences or updates on the parts involved. I did something similar before I bought the Powered Arms at Mandarake, to make sure it fit the newer Alternative Strike Red Frame Kai (what I bought) before I pull the trigger.

I went for the Draconics version despite already having 3 Red Frames (one with flight pack, one with the powered-up set, and a Kai) because I am crazy. I may even try to get a couple of the add-on guns too as I’d never picked any up… could be fun mounting two of those onto the legs of the Draconics to make it even more over-the-top.
