Here is a direct comparison of the manga panel to my pimple face Hi-Nu (on its left side helmet, close to the cheek, you see it, but a bit blurred). Aside some perspective difference, and the exaggerated 'crown' or forehead camera on the MB, they are almost identical, down to the dots, panel lines, and that tiny side fin. Its cool to see where the inspiration came from. mpchi thanks for sharing your feedback, I can see your deep love for the design- personally I'm not as familiar with Beltorchika's Children but I am obsessed with the Nightingale design and so the Hi-nu by association. Hope you can get that head replaced. |

Hope you can get that head replaced. I'll keep that pimple head. It sucks to get a flawed sample, but I am very used to it. Crooked waist POSE+ Baxinger, cracked neck CCSToys Zero, broken waist Huckebein 30 (just counting the more recent ones) they all seem to find their way to me. On the bright side, me getting 'sad' samples meaning one less chance for others to get a bad one, since I often fix mine when I can. In terms of pimple face Hi-Nu, it is not as bad in-person due to the real head is actually quite small, not blown up like in photos. If it bothers me enough later, I might sand down the paint in those rough spots with some very fine grit sandpaper. But I'll leave it for now. Speaking of Fewture, the Mazinger Z I bought came with one leg swivel glued tight. Not paint got stuck. Literally glued. Probably broke during assembly and glued back to sneak pass QC. And my Jouhmaru literally is scarface with a giant scar on the face, which I had sanded and repainted by taking the head apart. I am cursed by the QC toy god.  |

Oof that's quite a number of flawed figures. Last time I got a bad Gundam fig was the GFFMC #1009 RX-78 from 2011 where the 2 black ^ lines on the mouth plate were misaligned- which means the stencil was misaligned when they sprayed it. I also had a cracked hinge on a used GFFMC Psycho Gundam so that's likely not a manufacturer fault.

Similar issue on my GFFMC RX-78, but on the side vents of the helmet, with some of the black paint smeared on the white (like a kid smeared dirt on face lol). Lightly sanded the paint down enough to get rid of the black excess, but not enough to chew through the white paint. Being matte finish can be a blessing for minor paint flaws like this. |

That looks awesome, like official product promo shot. After watching a few reviews, it looks like the polka dots on the shield are not random. They vary ever so slightly, but looks like there is a general "pattern" to it. Ehhh yeah not feeling the polka dot pattern, I think I'll have to commit to the Bazooka Option Set for the alt shield... dammit.

Yeah, the locations of the dots are pre-set. I am guessing it started with a stencil to spray the base dots, then go over for a 2nd pass to get the fuzzy edges freehand, where the variant/inconsistency comes in. I actually like the dots on the shield. Gives Hi-Nu a different look and homage to the original artwork. Just wished it was better airbrushed. Same can be said on those fuzzy edges on the Fin Funnels. They don't look like they were painted with care with obvious inconsistency (probably have the same freehand process). It is also quite interesting to see anywhere there is more room for human error, things just go wrong.  |

This is basically the Strike Rouge + the Aile Striker Option Set + one big Grand Slam sword. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I assume Bandai will change up a few tampos just to make it a little different for the completionists.
I'm happy with the big sword from Ootori Striker so I can pass on this.

I'm getting most of them, I'm a UC guy so it is hard to resist, but I wish they make some other zeon units. A gouf should be easy, since it is almost a retool of the zaku, a DOM would be great but thats sound a lot less likely.... |

Yes, why release Metal Build Serbine or Providence Gundam when you can re-release Strike Rouge with some slightly different stuff? Why isn't this Strike Rouge the Tamashii Nations exclusive and Strike Noir the Tamashii Web item?

Bandai is showing a prototype of Gundam Devise Dynames at the Tamashii Nations Store in Tokyo. THIS is the Dynames I want, really glad I skipped the Dynames Repair 3 and waited for the green version!   |

I'll try to get both. The OG dynames is Neil Dylandy MS. And the Dynames repair III is the MS from the Laetitia Erde from the 00 anniversary radio theatre.... So I can embrace both in my collection. And I will wait for the Zabanya for lyle dylandy.
