Good bandai is not releasing nothing interesting to me in this line. I was expecting them after the kampfer to release bernie's zaku II GFFMC but it seems its not happening.

Preorders opened today for the "METAL BUILD GUNDAM DYNAMES SAGA" on P-Bandai: p-bandai.com/us/item/N2726380001001I already have the "Gundam Dynames & Devise Dynames", so I'm really not sure if this is worth it or not. Yeah, I think I'm fine with my Devise Dynames. It looks cool, but I really wish we could get past 00, Exia, and Dynames variants after more than 10 years. There's a new Metal Build event coming up in July, so I hope Bandai's just holding out till then on showing us more creative new figures in the line.

I would like them to release the other units from 00, but I'm sure they calculate sales potential and probably feel they won't sell well enough. I'd also really like to see some stuff from 0083, but I'm pretty sure that would fall under the GFFMC line.

Have to settle with Robot Damashii for those at this point. Though if they pull off a GP03 Dendrobium in Metal Build or GFFMC line, I'll likely buy one even if it ask for over a grand.

Both are pretty iconic and one of the greatest battles (and rivalries) of the UC... we have had many UC releases in the MB line (f91, every crossbone and kampfer) so gp01, gp02, gp03 and dendrobium are a posibility...

I think it was at the show where they announced Hi-Nu and Kampfer.

There is a GFFMC zeta (it was the first release in the line, but it is pretty old and far from todas standards, also has two releases, red and white karaba base, and blue and white, like the one Ridhe rides in unicorn). But a proper zeta release is much needed (kamille colors). Hope you are right.

They were really cool looking when they first came out, but I never got one because I heard that they just weren't that sturdy. At the time, they were super expensive too.

I think that was also around the time that they released the "O Gundam" in two color variations (pre deployment and post) for the GFFMC line. They used the original Gundam from that line and just recolored it while removing the core fighter and changing the weapons. Still, it is the only way to get completed figures for that unit.

I'm late to the Gundam world, and although I've owned my share of various Gundam models in the past, I only mainly purchased them because the particular kits looked cool to me, without any knowledge of the significance of each model.
I recently started watching the original Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 series. I am more than halfway completed and am now hooked. I can't wait to watch the Zeta series next.
I'm interested in collecting the Fix Figuration Metal Composite figures from 0079. I see that the RX-78-2 is no longer available, but some figs like Char's MS-05S is still for sale on various sites. Do these figures get reissued? Is it best that I pay the late tax on an RX-78-2 now? Or be patient and wait for a possible reissue?
Any recommendations are appreciated on which figure(s) I should chase first etc.

I don't know if you want zaku I or just a char zaku (zaku 2 is way more iconic while zaku 1 you see it at gundam origin). Chars zaku II has been reissued, and probably will be reissued.I recommend getting Doans zaku II (watch the OVA Cucuruz doan island, it is a retelling of an episode and its great). Tri star high mobility zaku II is also great but its aftermarket price is way up. A nice addition would be GM79 sleggar (has an appearance at doans OVA and in the origin manga). And I highly recommend MB kampfer the figure is incredible and 0080 war in the pocket is, IMO, the best gundam has to offer (it is 6 episodes of 35 minutes really worth watching, and it summarize gundam message. Sorry if I get to excited, and wrote a lot, I'm a big fan of UC. After watching Chars counter attack, You will get hooked.

I was having a hard time searching for things on Mandarake auctions. Maybe I'm not using the correct search terms or do I have to input Japanese text? I see a 1017 Metal Composite Fix Figuration RX-78-2 at a local shop nearby for $320. Is that a good price to pay for a 1017 set? I ended up starting a 7-day trial with Crunchyroll yesterday, which I plan on keeping the monthly plan so I can watch more Gundam series after I finish the 0079 series.

Mandarake and Amiami have a good selection, finding them is a matter of patience too. I'll leave you the links: order.mandarake.co.jp/order/listPage/list?dispCount=120&soldOut=1&keyword=metal%20composite&lang=en1017 is 26000yen used (around 185usd and thats a good price, but paying shipping and tax will add, so may be 320 its not a bad price). I recommend 1017 since it has the right eyes color and also the stand to dsplay it flying (I have 1009 and lack of that) I don't know where you live (for example I have to pay a lot in taxes so 320usd in my country would be a good price), If you live in the US or a country tax free you may import it for less www.amiami.com/eng/search/list/?s_keywords=metal%20composite&s_st_list_preorder_available=1&s_st_list_backorder_available=1&s_st_list_newitem_available=1&s_st_condition_flg=1Sleggar GM seems to be available. Chars zaku, is hard to find. Im not aware of many aftermarket prices since I'm up to date with the line. I recommend you get ramba ral Gouf that has been recently release since it will be easier to find and wont have a too high aftermarket price.

Mandarake is not auction based (though they have auction events for super high priced rare/vintage items), on the website you pretty much dealing with a used toy shop that sells both new and slightly used toys. Mandarake has many different location in Japan (mainly Tokyo area), so be mindful on which location the item you want is from. If you are buying multiple from different locations, you pay double shipping on stuff coming from 2 locations. As for #1017, you can get one at Mandarake now at 26000yen, which is less than $170. Shipping will add another $50-60 or so. So that obviously is cheaper than your local $320 offering. Just find one that matches your price and condition, brand new ones usually cost more. But before you pull the trigger, look through which Metal Composite RX-78-2 is your favorite. 1017 is nice, but there is another newer repaint #1026, which is based on the newer movie Cucuruz Doan's Island. There is also the older one that I have, #1009. But if you can find it at a good price, the #1026 is probably your best choice. Good luck. Learn how to shop at Mandarake. You'll find a LOT of good stuff there, at reasonable prices, even exclusives that might cost more at retail or stuff that were hard to find at one point. After you finish 0079 TV series, go watch Gundam The Origin (where the Gundam figure you are shopping came from). It adds a lot of back story to characters and events you watched on the 0079 TV series, especially on Char's background, how he turned from a young kid to the Red Comet we know. Very nice animation too.

DAMN! People aren't kidding when they say MB Kampfer is awesome. The paint finish and details are crazy good, might be the best looking Gundam MB I have to date. The subtle different shades of blue works really well with each other, something that looks even better in person than in photos or videos. Also it is very heavy when compare to its peers. I wish some of the thrusters are a bit tighter at the ball joint, and the ab crunch waist joint on mine is a bit loose. Hip articulation range is indeed limited like stated in most reviews. But aside those small nitpicks, this is a homerun release. One of the all-time greats in the MB line. So glad I bought it.

Well finally pulled the trigger on the kampfer (355usd plus shipping, EMS). Really excited about this guy and the Gouf. Still I will be missing the Harrison madden F91 (the only UC metal build I need in my UC collection right now)

Well we are getting a new series/ova on July (they announcedit about a week ago)... so it is the right time. Just yesterday I was telling a friend I did not get the HIRM kit waiting for the MB (and that I would probably be ok with a chogokin like the aerial). That being said, I reaaaaaally excited about this!!! G gundam is one of my favorite gundam alternative universes and I was finding offensive the fact that we were getting a tryon gundam before a proper God gundam... The east is burning red guys!!!!
