Since things are slow these days, I thought maybe we could create a thread to just throw up any random vintage toy image. That way there is no excuse to not post pics (i.e., its not a matter of owning a particular toy or brand). Let's see some random pics, whether it be a shot of a corner of your display, a highlight of a particular piece, or a close-up of a part to a toy. Here's my initial contribution:

I might have posted this before, but here is a funky boot of a great vehicle.

No! Please don't nuke it. I really want a thread like this and have plenty of cool things to take pics of, just have a really crappy schedule right now.

Jeff, great Gatchaman collection. What is that non-Nakajima Gloizer made out of? I've seen it plenty at auction, but always assumed it was plastic. I'm always on the fence about whether to pick it up or not. On the Gloizer tip...

Baron, There is a Swallow Helicopter on YJ for 20,000yen. OK box, toy seems to be complete.
Myles, I think you are talking about the Marushin toy. Nothing to write home about. I got it in a lot. Too lazy to get rid of it.

Okay, here's a vintage specimen ( Thanks to Baron Weirwulf!), manufactured by Atlantic S.p.A. ...and, as with my old vintage Goldrake model (by the same company), this item has no indication of what year this was made... As you can see on the back of the box, Atlantic S.p.A. has a few other items in its collection line. This item originally brings 22 figurines. Baron kept three figurines for his Grendizer displays. To give you an idea of their average size, I placed a house key and a U.S. Quarter beside the figurines... The detail looks very good. I don't know if these figurines were intended to be painted, or left alone just as playable toys for kids. Either way, these are cool! I also have the Goldrake model kit from this manufacturer's line... ----------------------- Slightly off-topic, because it's vintage but Not Robot-Japan related------- ---I have this old Krazy Ikes tinker toy set that I bought at a local thrift store a few months ago (missing some pieces) LOL... These are all I have (at home with me) for vintage specimens at this time. zozo-mag

Tony, I have that set and the other "vega" figure set you see on the back of the box. Don't have the grendy kit or the villain bit kit, but I have seen the villain bot one and it is just ok.

The sight of those Raideens make me wanna start collecting the GA line. I've already got a couple GAs (Maz, and GrtMaz), so why not Raideen and Grendy! Cool pic, thanks for sharing! zozo-mag
