Got mine and they actually filled it with air pillows so boxbis in good shape! Maybe Ill be getting yours because mine was shipped today lol do t know why the delay I just returned the crappy box stock I got two days ago and got my replacement yesterday. Box was better on the corners but not perfect. I decided to get another one when I went down to $126.60. Let's see if I get lucky with the box condition on this order... Would't it be funny if I get the same box I returned 2 days ago?

Not worried about resale-value at all. A crappy box should be at least another US$30 off on top of the already discounted/sale price. Just sayin'...

Whoa! This is smaller than I expected. I guess if I put all three components together, this robot would look huge. But I find that look silly and I don't have space, especially horizontally. It is very solid though, seems like there is a lot of die-cast. Plus, it comes on robot mode already--no assembly required

That's probably the reason why it's not bigger: they wanted to include the shuttle, for it to dock with. Imagine if the robot had been bigger, the shuttle would have needed to be bigger as well. And that barely fits in the box already, hehe Hey, at least it's not Danguard-A-small...

Mechanical Flesh.... True that! Danguard Ace and Raideen are tiny. Know what? I also feel that the SOC Voltes V is kinda small.

i dont see any problem with GX-66 Tryder's size.. infact, at robot mode, it scales well with his "brothers" Soc Daitarn and Zambot 3. On the other hand Reideen isnt supposed to be that big. If ull look closely at that anime, pilot Akira jumps from his motorcycle right straight to an area at the back of Reideen's head which is almost the same size as Mazinger's head. yes, he could be bigger than mazinger or great mazinger but not that much. I suggest dont believe the hype the specs these creators are giving us coz some are just hype for thier creation plus those fan created scaling graphics u see on the net tends to be bias. Its best to scale them with your own view of pilot to cockpit proportion based on the cartoon itself.

Its best to scale them with your own view of pilot to cockpit proportion based on the cartoon itself. I agree. Most of the "official" specs were just pulled out of someone's butt with no concern for how it would actually scale with the pilot. For example, Danguard Ace's cockpit would be gigantic (ie. the size of Iron Gear's bridge) if it were actually as tall as specified, when in the anime it's only about the size of Grendizer's. On the flipside, Raideen really isn't all that big, but while what you said was true, outside of the fade-in sequence, Raideen is sometimes demonstrated as absurdly huge, towering above trees...

Not only that. Creators usually give details for both height and weight of robots. And yes, many times the heights aren't exactly right/accurate. But the weights are just absurd. I think Japanese people don't even know what a ton is... almost all the super robots I've come across, the stats were absurd. If those robots were really as heavy as they said they were, they'd be light as feathers.

For Cockpit size, How about Battle Crusher cockpit on the chest of Combatler V compare to the Mouth of Grendizer and Getter G ?
I prefer Bigger in Anime is Taller in Toy. Not need the real scale/proportion. For example (I didn't own all of them) 11 cm. Jeeg (10m) --> SRC Mazinger, Great, Grendizer (18-30m)--> SOC Raideen,Gaiking (50m) --> SOC Combatler,Voltes (58m)--> SOC Godzigma (60m)
Anybody know did SOC Gold lightan the same height as SRC Grendizer ?

Yeah partially for resale value. I am always at conventions selling stuff and its always the same. Can you knock off $xx because the box is banged up? This figure is not on my plans for selling but my response was mostly because Amazon SOC always show up looking like theyve been kicked around so it was surprising to receive this in good shape and at a discount. you guys and these boxes..LOL is it just for resale value that you are worried? Trust me when you get to over 100 or so Chogokins you wish the boxes would just vanish let alone be in any shape!

Hehehe.. if i will based it on the cartoon in which the human pilot was jumping from docking bay bridge into Danguard Ace's cockpit... and then next.. i would follow this chart.. i guess that guy would be as tall as Mazinger Z! so ridiculous.

Revolver, you are absolutely correct.
in reality if you will, most of these robots will be more similiar in size , just by judging by the human pilot size.
