So....did anyone here make a run on it? I was tempted until I saw the feedback...only one as a seller and it was a pretty bad sounding negative. still a cool piece and good luck to whoever won, I hope my gut feeling is wrong.

Was debating to make a thread for ended auctions, and starting with this one. The seller feedback looked really bad for only 1 feedback as a seller. I miss the old days of ebay where you could see real names of who was bidding I see the Daiku Maryu was pulled, with another seller with zero feedback.

Long conversations on facebook about that auction. Those pictures were posted before for sale somewhere. The whole thing just seemed fishy. If it really looks too good to be true, I usually don't even look twice at it.

All the pictures and even the text were stolen from a previous auction of a very good friend. I've report the auction three days ago but it seems that ebay doesn't care....

I thought that text read like I had seen it before. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that.

I was watching, but it was never in my budget, I was just curious how high it would go for. Where's the Facebook page where the discussion was taking place about the auction being shady? I would like to check that out.

Yeah I saw it too. I'm not a gambler and I rarely even take an educated risk. That auction had the description ripped from that seller in Belgium that's been selling a lot of jumbos lately and the pics were ripped from a previous auction of someone else's. That plus feedback stating that he's a scam artist. I wasn't interested even if I could win for $100. That just means I'd be throwing away $100. I'm actually shocked that anyone bid. Hoping against hope I guess. I really hope it wasn't anyone here getting ripped off. You guys seem pretty sharp and savvy. I know I am! Lol.

Note that the "winner" of that auction had very low feedback (8). This could possibly mean one of two things. 1. They are fairly new to purchasing items like this and were basically scammed. 2. It is someone who realized that the auction was a scam and they used a "throw-away" account to out bid everyone else with no intention of paying in order to block others from purchasing the item and to prevent anyone else from being scammed.

Thanks for this great move Kaus. I've report it but seems like ebay is not taking lots of actions and in the report section there's nothing to point out that it's a fake auction. There's lots of things but not that. The whole auction, text and images were from a previous auction it's just a big copy/paste of the whole page.

eBay is notoriously oblivious to fake/ fishy/ or just plain blatantly false auctions. They even have a specific report for sellers who jerk around with sale fees and add it into shipping to gouge Ebay (ie. a $75 valued item with a buy it now of $20 but the shipping from HK is $75 when at best in reality should be $15 to ship). This directly screws ebay as they can only collect their sales fees on the selling price. Yet any time I had reported such an auction to them nothing ever happens. I gave up long ago. I steer clear of ebay unless it's something I want to sell and have already tried every other avenue without success or it's something rare I gotta try and win. ala a Jumbo.

This directly screws ebay as they can only collect their sales fees on the selling price. Actually Ebay started charging their fee based upon the total end value for the auction's selling price plus shipping fee well over a year ago just to close that loophole in the system.

Brother, Welcome to RJ... YOU are a Hero in this hobby. Thank you so much for exacting Justice by giving that eBay scammer a dose of his own medicine. I would have done the same thing if I had thought of doing something like that. But I would have to open a fake disposable account at eBay and do it with a fake username. I have a real account at eBay with just 25 Positive Feedbacks, therefore I don't wanna ruin my rating with my real username there. lol zozo-mag It is a 2, because it was me lol

If in doubt jumboman, ask.... If it seems too good to be true, it usually is. PM somebody if you have questions on a live auction, there's a great bunch of guys here willing to help.
