I just saw this on Big Bad Toy Store's main page : ThreeZero 1/72 scale Zoid Shield Liger Estimated to Arrive: March 2014 BBTS Price: $289.99 Full length: approx 260mm. Height: approx 190mm. Material:ABS , PVC Shipping Weight: 4.20 pounds Iron Kong is also in the pipeline : ThreeZero is ThreeA minus Ashley Wood. Or, more accurately, ThreeA is ThreeZero plus Ashley Wood. One look at the paintjob on the first pic above and there's really no doubt about it. And the great thing with ThreeA/ThreeZero is that it should look as good in your hands than on the promo pics. If the info I found on the web is accurate, Yamato's diecast Shield Liger was 160mm tall and 250mm long. On paper, that would make ThreeZero's version 3 cm (1¼ inch) taller and1 cm (~0.5 inch) longer, but I get the feeling that they're approximately the same size. I've been eyeing that Yamato Liger for a long time but held off buying thanks to my already bloated collection... but this... wow! Not exactly cheap, though, but this is BBTS' price. I haven't seen it anywhere else (mostly because I haven't looked for it yet). I wonder if it will be available for less elsewhere, like Bambaland. Or are they only selling ThreeA stuff there?

Some cool features there , like the blue LED eyes showing through the cockpit sheild, and the more expressive mane extensions, short/wide/bigtoothed jaw, and the more rounded style chest and shoulder parts.
The paint job, I get it, has to be the signature weathered/sponge paint look, of 3Zero, but man, that first pic's lighting makes the Liger look like a neglected, old garbage truck made of eggshells, instead of a real piece of fictional military equipment, LOL! That paint style could be dialed back juuuusst a wee bit for the Zoids, just my opinion. I realized I reached the saturation point of liking unending product in that same paint style.
This 3Zero is a lot more "toy" proportioned than the straight 1980's square style of old Zoids, or the heavy metal of the Yamato, and would sure have a nice "reach for me" look on a display shelf.
I'd like to see just one, done in a normal, maintained equipment look, like how some Patlabor, or Gundam stuff is presented, just minimal realistic wear/weathering.

threezero may be releasing this under their own webstore. i think you're correct to assume that it won't be on bamba as that is 3a only. i'm not sure if it will be any cheaper, though. i have the yamato liger and thoroughly recommend it. my arms got sore from handling it - it's THAT heavy i agree that this will prolly be similar in size to the yamato, and echo the sentiment about the weathering. an option for a non-weathered one would be great, and a less weathered one as standard would be better imho. I actually remember seeing this liger design done years ago by a custom modeller. Apparently he somehow hooked up with 3A.

I just might order this. I had a great appreciation for Zoids at one time and I still love the basic design behind most of the ligers. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but...

Ordered. It's timed just about right for my tax return so I'm in. HLJ is selling it for roughly $210 USD + shipping, so this is at least $40 or more cheaper even after shipping.

Yeah, all 3A toys are completed. I'm very tempted to get this one...but, not sure if I can swallow the inevitable $300+ price-tag.

Anyone have any suggestions as to the best examples of both Iron Kong and Liger Based On quality/Die-cast content/ Overall aesthetics That I should Look into purchasing other than these expensive examples?

For liger, most def track down Yamato Diecast one. Its huge! Extremely heavy, tons of articulation, and ofcourse it weighs a ton due to heavy use of diecast. And it so cheap.....Perfect paint and tempo app, the only thing i can nit pick is that i wish the head was little bigger.

No toy rendition of Iron Kong has been released that I know of... A few years back, Tomy released the Liger and Berserk Führer for their KZ-## "Metal Action" line. So, gokin and wildy fun to play with...good price too. Here's an example: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0510177655If you want something larger and more of a display piece, the more recent Yamato version of the Liger aren't bad. I have them but they are still in package. Hope that helps!

There is the Kotobukiya Iron Kong which are more base to the original anime version as oppose ThreeZero doing there own interpretation, but is a model kit which is plastic and you will have to built. however those not require painting if you don't want to and once built it has a lot of articualtion.
