ah yes the mini diorama of the Photon Lab for SRC Mazinger Z if i recall. to bad they never made it but then again it would be to costly for something for a line that is meant to be accessible to everyone.

Unfortunately not. That picture is a few years old now. I think they decided to go with the less ambitious Big Order Room instead, which turned out AMAZING! It would be awesome to see more projects like that come out.

That SUX! Well, screw Bandai! If they won't make one I will. I'll just gut an old IBM computer tower and make myself a funky robot hangar for my SRCs. Bandai ( or, for that matter, ANY toy manufacturer) will flaunt all that fictional Fluffer to get the target market all boned up hot flash just to lure folks into spending money on other products that Bandai has available. Bandai be like " See THIS? Psyche! We aint makin it. So Don't get dressed cos you Aint goin!" We wanna see that Photon Lab, right? Nope, cos Bandai isn't gonna make it. So we'll just break out the ol toolbox and make a custom Photon Base. Sometimes we gotta be Kung-Fu like that, yo. zozo-mag

Lol... I remember this, it was one of the reasons I jumped in the SRC line and bought the Maz and Great Maz.
Just remember, not everything Bandai shows us becomes a reality when it comes to the SRC line.
Sigh, when you think about the number of painted SRC prototype figures that Bandai teased but never saw actual release, it's disturbing.

Man. Those are too expensive. Honestly, with some plywood, Styrofoam, and other materials you could totally build these out using the same techniques hobbyists use for wargaming

The first link is rather nice looking and it's a custom, the second is rather awful looking and appears to be an official piece (Wonderfest release maybe?). I agree with AA, Games Workshop is your best friend when it comes to stuff like this.

US $2,444.96 for a 19 x 24 cm model? That's tiny for the asking price... It's not a 70's toy even, year 2000. Anybody know what features this has? Lights up maybe?

It pretty much looks like a crappy vinyl piece. My dog's vinyl chew toys look better manufactured than that.

I don't know anything about it. Just happen to see it on eBay. I would definitely buy one for $10. It doesn't even look like vinyl, worse, it looks like very soft foam or something like that.

Yecht, I would seriously feel sorry for the fool that would pay that much money for that tiny horrid looking Photon Lab. You know it would be a great idea if Bandai would just release some downloadable papercraft bases or dioramas like what Kaiyodo did with some of their revoltech figures like Gurren Lagann and Getter Dragon.
