I'll wait to see what this is like. The old toys (real and KO) were pretty cool. Looks nice though.

Fantastic toys. If you loved the Takatoku releases of Macross, you get something similar in the Orguss line...and generally speaking, alot more affordable. I only have the gokin Nikick and Orgroid but look to complete the line down the road if possible. Most MIB toys are around $150-$200...so, not bad for a vintage gokin toy that can take a beating in repeated transformations.

This should be in the Modern Gokin thread. It has been confirmed that the VA hi-spec line features diecast in the construction. After the CMS version turned out to be vaporware, I'm really excited for this release!

Yeah. The Variable Action "HI-SPEC" has always been their gokin line, even though its a pretty young line with just Code Geass Guran & RahXephon released so far.
I am very mixed on this. On one hand, I already gave up on VA HI-SPEC line due to bad experience with RahXephon (Guran is not as bad, but there are still quite a few things I need to fix). But I like Orguss' design a lot. My Takatoku while still very fun to handle, the blockiness just doesn't mesh well with my mostly modern gokin shelf. I'll have to wait and see on this one. If it turns out really good, I may give them a second chance.

I got the 1/44 vintage Orgroid green and brown cockpit versions + the Nikki : these are my best vintage toys. The only thing missing to these toys are some joints for arms and shoulders to give best posings.

with just Code Geass Guran & RahXephon released so far. I think they also produced a VA Galatt which was also thier last release.

Ditto, Galatt was also part of the Hi-Spec VA line.
And to echo other members, why wasn't this thread moved to the gokin section?

a recent post reminded me of this, did anyone get it? It's super pricey for what it is but seems to be sold out in most places.

I didn't get it but I still haven't heard anyone say anything great about it. And it was expensive as hell.
I'll echo my earlier comment and say drop less money on a vintage giant 1/40 DX scale one. Stay away from the 1/60 though, they are too brittle and always disintegrate.

I've been looking for video reviews of this thing since it first came up but no dice. A few written reviews here and there, but what I wanted to see was how the joints were on this figure. Nothing more infuriating to me than loose joints on a super expensive figure. Alas, it was sold out before any video review was ever made of it

HLJ's infomercial "review" aside, there's still no actual reviews of this thing.
