From these pics I still prefer the original Popy/LJN Golion/Voltron due to the traditional Jumbo aesthetics. BUT... I do dig this one also. If it's Polyethylene and on wheels and launches the lion head fist this will likely be the first modern Jumbo I've bought since the Super 7 Stormie. Also if you go on the Jumbomania FB page there are pics of the Godzilla Shogun. It's a modernized rip off of the Mattel Godzilla. I will have his also. It looks really good. I hate Toynami but they just might have me sold.

I wonder if they heard all the complaints that's all over the net about the vinyls? Or maybe all the begging we did to make them more "old school"? Either way, I'm hoping they listened! I have the Voltron on preorder at BBTS and will do the same with the new "Bulkzilla" when they are ready. I may also snag the other new one coming out that has the bullhead on his torso, it kind of reminds me of Gaiking, I posted that photo also on Jumbomania.

I will try and snag both of those as well. I guess the giant megazord shown at last year's convention isn't coming out.

The face of voltron looks weird, like its too thin or too small...all that dead space around it.

Kinda glad I did the early preorder for $199. BBTS raised the preorder price to $234.99 now.
The outer edge of the belt buckle neads to be yellow and not black.

Has this come out yet? Suppose to be June 2015, right?

Has this come out yet? Suppose to be June 2015, right? I wrote Toynami on 6/3/15 and asked about the status and they said it will be shipping in July.

I got today an e-mail notification from BBTS stating that it was added to my pile of loot.

Mine shipped yesterday from BBTS and is scheduled to arrive next Thursday. I'm surprised there aren't any Youtube videos about it so far. Must be only a few of us interested in this thing. lol

My loot was shipped this morning, and I am also expecting to get it this Thursday. I think that a lot of people were turned off by the $240 price tag.
Luckily, I pre-ordered at the early bird price of $199.99.

My loot was delivered today. Unfortunately, I have to wait until I get home tonight to play with this jumbo Voltron and the rest of my loot.

Got mine Thursday. Love it! Not quite as cool as my old LJN but it is a great take on what a modern Jumbo can be. The box somewhat mimics the LJN packaging and it has old style paper stickers. The fists shoot pretty far. The elbow joints remind me of the ones on the original as they are a ball and socket. The face is a lot better in person. I can post some pics later.

I was so excited to finally receive the 30th Jumbo Voltron the other day. Until I peered through the box window and can see a defect in the chest crest. It is something minor but it does bug the heck out of me when I look at it. If this was only a $50 piece I'd let it slide, but being that its on a $200+ piece, I can't let it go. I'm relieved I ordered from BBTS, as they have excellent customer service and I was able to send it back in for an exchange. I can still see that this is such an awesome beautiful piece in person. Pictures do not do it any justice of how great the overall piece looks in hand. (For those wondering why the chest crest is blank, a sticker is included just like the old Jumbo Machinder/Giant Commander had.) I still have to wait several more days until I can enjoy this piece.

That's a good eye, spotting that error. Before you return it to BBTS, who I'm sure will happily take it back to exchange, I would check with people here to see if it's a common mold issue (i.e. if several people have the same issue) before you go through the hassle of getting another one.

So to anyone that has opened it. Is this thing vinyl or Polyethylene? Given how much paint is on it I'm finding it hard to believe it's Poly as was supposed to be the case. But the launching arms I can't believe would be vinyl as the pressure would make it warp. If it's another vinyl statue I'm passing. I had their first offering GoLion vinyl figure last time around and owned it for maybe 2 months until it started leaning forward after spending time in my fully air conditioned 72 degree house. Unacceptable.... This looks great but I'm not spending that kinda dough on a Toynami piece again until I'm sure of what I'm getting. Not saying I don't trust them to put out a quality item... Just sayin... I don't trust them to put out a quality item.

Doh! So it's not like the vintage hollow shampoo bottle plastic? I kinda wish I had opened mine before sending it back to BBTS so that I could confirm.
