Hi all,
What I'd like to see if it is an improved SOC Voltes V are the following:
1. GX-31 anime colors with the GX-31V better-scaled Voltes Bazooka 2. I noticed in the anime that the lower part of the elbow is blue, instead of silver in the SOC 3. Effects parts for weapons - like a flame effect when Voltes uses his Grand/Ground Fire (the one that comes from the belt buckle) 4. This maybe too much; I'd like a hinged/removable belly to show where the Magnetic Tops are released (like Mazinger's Missile Punch)

Cool! What is the difference in the Voltes? Is it a recolor of the "Respect" version? The Aphrodite looks good, and the Mazinger even better! }D

Hi all,
TMZ - it has the arms from the GX-31V respect version! Pricey though - wonder what goodies they'll add?

It says they used the GX 31V volt in box version as a base, while imagining the Anime color patterns. They utilized metallic colors to embody a "high end" type of feel. Voltes bazooka and chain knuckle were also upgraded (not sure what that entails)

Well the Voltes bazooka was already upgraded for the 31V wasn't it?
So it's basically exactly what I wanted; 31V but in anime colours.

Wow, looks to be the best "cartoon accurate" Voltes yet. Now to hope they make Camp Big Falcon. Gold

About 7000y jump from the previous GX-31V msrp. It better have some more worthy reason(s) than just an upgraded Bazooka and Chain Knuckles.

I hope they don't add any of the sh*tty gold chrome they've been adding unless it's for a lightning effect part.

Man, the exorbitant MSRP on this new SOC-Voltes is really just not sitting well with me.
Bandai is just stupidly refusing to learn from the MSRP-shenanigans of GX-64 and GX-65.
Bandai seems really hell-bent on just pricing most regular non-scalpers out. Both on this new GX-31V and the GX-68.
WTF, BANDAI?!
I mean, some of us can and will afford the expensive new MSRP, but still.
The GX-01R+ and GX-08 re-release MSRPs are also pretty high, but both are at least affordable enough to most non-scalpers.
I'm mulling the thought of waiting for the likely firesale pricing like what happened to GX-64 and GX-65 recently.

^ Totally agree. Looks like Bandai want to cash in on the 40th anniversary versions and given the price of this new Voltes V, it's going to cost more for the others (Combattler, Daimos and yes Gunbuster) when they get released. Best price would be at least 20%-25% off MSRP and that's not including shipping. Your wallet be ready for some pain.

A local toy store here told me that the soc voltes would be released here for $200....with that price I'm definitely getting it!

^ Where is here?
$200 is alright, but $175-$180 is more fair.
