So what is the official code name for this? We had GX-31, GX-31V and now GX-31R or GX-31VR?

Yep I preordered voltes v. I preordered one on Toynerdhobbies on facebook since I know I can trust the guy, but you can also preorder from Greattoysonline. The only problem is I don't know if they ship outside the philippines and I never bothered to check since I just go to their store at greenhills whenever I want to buy something. Also I dunno if all the preorder slots are still available since voltes v is still in high demand here.

Lucky you, Gravewolf If I got this, it would be my very first Voltes V. But before anything else, I need to know from people who handled the GX-31 or the 31V about the quality of this new release. Yeah, I'll wait for a pair of reviews, then I'll decide.

I just hope this has the leg issues fixed! Looking at how the arm is posed on the Voltes bazooka it's the same as the old gx-31. I really hope it's not just a recolor.

Dont wait....youll end up regretting it....if i were you i would go ahead and pre order one if given a chance (but thats just me)...since Voltes V is high in demand....prices can go prety insane...you can check ebay for instance....but few people ever bit the bullet...as for the build & quality i can say with my GX31, its pretty solid, the only flaws is the loose groin/hip, its flimsy as hell but its tolerable its really not the end of the world specially when your just throwing Voltes V for display in your cab...

The new Aphrodite looks like she has been spending lots of time in the sun, with plenty of sunscreen(Coppertone?), at some Jamaican resort.

is the new voltes a repaint of gx31v or gx31? since it is written that GX31V (40th Anniv.) in the ads, can we assume that it is really based from gx31v? 1. minus of what is obvious, the long leg for the panzer treads 2. why the voltes bazooka pose is so awkward(gx31 style).

ALRIGHT so, based on the new picture posted above... 1) Voltes V will probably be a 31V recolour (gone are those numbers and white lines on the chest and the head), so I'm hoping for no articulation problems. 2) that beautiful, BEAUTIFUL Mazinger Z: GX-01R it says. We're getting all of the accesories that came with the 01R (I hope), and the limbs now match the torso colour. Cool. Also, the head comes from the 01R+, I can confirm that

This is a recolor period the leg issue was never fixed on 31v.it also looks like a mix of 31 and 31v parts see my last post between me and gold.

That Mazinger i def will pick up since i dont any gx1. He looks real good. Apparently we're on the same boat here Well, I must admit, I'm fairly new to the hobby. BUTI came across some SoC Mazingers in the past months, in some toy/comic shops, and I decided to pass on them, despite the relatively cheap price (compared to most of the other SoCs). I did so, because of a few minor gripes: GX-01 is a tad shorter than the others, and being the very first SoC it had its flaws. Also, some gimmicks weren't well implemented (missile punch comes to mind). 01R was way, way better, even if I'm not a fan of chromed limbs. Also, 01R has that "surprised-worried" look on its face, hehe. And last, the 01R+ had the face fixed, hell it was more than that they made it evil and gorgeous, and they even coloured the limbs correctly, but the forearms and lower legs look bleached and the R+ had less gimmicks and accessories compared to its brothers. However, this new one... this new one promises to be the holy freaking grail of SoC Mazingers
